Stryker completed 7th Servicing at 18,000kms.

Parts and charges included in servicing.

    1) Rs 350 Paid servicing
    2) Rs 305 Yamalube - 20W50 Mineral (The gear shifts are pretty smooth, one of our Pune member Sorcer had tried, excellent oil)
    3) Rs 167 Oil Filter
    4) Rs 550 Spark Plug (NGK Iridium)

    Total - Rs 1372

I wanted to change the spark plug because it was suggested by the mech, also I went for the Iridium one. The mech in Suvarnarekha installed a Champion RG6HC which is used for pulsar and is a direct fit but I wanted to go for stock so changed it to Iridium one. Mind satisfied.

The bike is quite smooth now, lots of vibes in the handlebars are not present anymore. Loving the mineral oil, will keep a check on the oil level twice a month.

sorry for late reply. That bikes belongs to abhishek sircar, but he is little inactive here now and also busy. i have asked him to send me the replies over sms. once he does i will let you know. BTW the setup was done by a guy called navanish nagesh form bangalore, he is pretty known with things related to R15 and also the founder of Tourer gear.

The light spread is amazing. the best i have seen. i remember the battery of abhis bike draining little few weeks back, but i heard its fine now. and also i remember he had upgraded his battery. will confirm once he lets me know.

        Few things >>

        1. What should be the proper air pressure level in both rear and front tires.. ?
        2. Are there any company make radiator cover / cage for Y-15V2`s radiator.. ?
        3. Is R-15V2 coolant same as the once use in Car ?
        4. What should be the speed limit before 1st service ?
        5. Are other users are happy with company provided service ? are the mechanics are skilled enough.. ?

        Thanks In Advance..
a suggestion in advance: READ THE MANUAL FULLY AND POINT TO POINT.

        1. 28 for front and 33 for rear.
        2. i doubt, i have not seen people using it or even mentioning about it.
        3. why this question? i dont think its same. If you are talking about the "Purpose of the Coolant" then yes, but do the same.
        4. no speed limit. only rmp limit. its given in the manual, follow that. its completely fine if you cross that limit few times.
        5. Not all mechs are skilled. there will be experts as well as trainees. in the free service you dont need experts as not much will be involved. but make sure you go to a reputed SVC.
i am happy to 90% of the service done, but i have this particular mech who does the job good.

Just for a change, mind you the shifts are butter smooth too.

I checked the manual for mentioned grades, 20W40 and 20W50 both can be filled. Since these grades are recommended and there wont be any harm so trying them.

I have noticed one thing, with the SS oil the engine use to be super hot in no time, but now the fan dint kick even once when coming back from office through city in 2pm heat.

Yes, would check the oil level twice in a month.

Changed oil to Motul S5100 and spark plug to NGK Iridium (NGK CR8EIX).
Also cleaned air filter, tightened chain along with cleaning and lubing.
The engine feels a lot more smoother and the gear shifting is like just pressing an electrical switch. (May be due to Motul S5100).
The rpm rise from 6K to 8K feels to be quicker. ( May be due to NGK Iridium or even the engine oil .. not sure)
My ride is a lot more peppier now and It makes me to fall in love more and more :-)

My yammie has done 1500 kms and I have enjoyed every bit of it. However, from last 7-10 days, there is too much travel in my rear brake lever before it starts to engage…Also, unlike before, the rear tyre tends to lock/ skid a lot more and the braking capacity of the rear has reduced a lot too.
This problem mainly started after riding the bike in rain for 3 days(while coming back from office).
Has anyone faced the same??What should I do regarding the same?? I have literally stopped using rear brakes for now
the highlighted part is little contradicting. brakes lock when you apply too much pressure on them, they wont work properly if you dont apply pressure properly. now this depends on what kinda surface you apply them and when.
                        1. Wet surface/muddy surface -> means less traction/grip for the tyre. if you apply the same amount of brake in this situation like you do so in normal dry ride, the tyres wont have that grip on the road, so they will tend to lock up.

                        2. dry surface and clean road-> better grip, the best you can get -> now if you think that since you applied brakes last time and tyre locked up, you will apply lesser this time, so you will feel the brakes are not up the mark.
did something like this happened to you ? at 1.5k on odo i dont think the brakes will go bad. it will be either the brakes have set properly now or either the scenarios i mentioned above. its takes around 2k to 3k kms for my bikes brakes to perform less even after crazy riding. if you still think there might be problem with brakes then take it to the clinic ASAP

Firstly, as I said before, the travel of the rear brake lever is too much before it starts to engage i.e. I have to press the lever much more than before to even start the rear braking. Also, even on a dry road the braking capacity of the rear has decreased a lot, so whenever I am apply the brakes…since the braking capacity is not at par like before.. I tend to apply them more… and then starts the locking type behavior…
                            Any inputs people??
i think its better you take it to SVC and get it checked. since that will be more clear and also someone present there will understand it better and also try it out.

Bro have a cool mind and think. You said you rode in rain for 2-3 days and after that this change in the rear brake happened. It should be because of many reasons:
                              1. After pads got wet because of abrasion old layer vanished and new layer is biting the disc well.
                              2. After some pad decay paddle is bound to go little deeper.
                              3. Bike is skidding because it is raining there or just rained 1 or 2 days back and soil and road conditions changed a bit.

Just a suggestion : There are lot of million other thing to bother ASC than these small riding adjustments which I think we needs to do, because after some use bike tends to behave little differently. Have a cool mind and ride safe.

My bike is less than one year old. Recently I have noticed that there is a kind of whining/humming sound (like something rotating in air) from the front end while riding, more while slowing down without breaking. Is it supposed to be a normal sound, or should I be concerned about?
Don't count the BHP, its the X that matters.
