Canada? i'll stick to DOT4 for now then until i get my hands on a DOT5...
Wheel was a good invention but two wheels with an engine in between is way better!

        1. Does it have 55w bulb or 35w bulb ?
        2. Tell me long term review, about the battery.
        3. Does it cause any wiring problems ?
        4. And any other mods made to fit in the lamps ?
        5. The fittings looks perfect, pls name from where it is done if you know it and the complete cost involved.

Guys i think there is something wrong. When i put the key and turn it on the speedometer does not checkin as of lighting up and stuff(Selfcheck) but when i do that the second time immediately then its working. Is there a problem with my battery? Its happening after my 4th service. Before that it was fine.

            1. Does it have 55w bulb or 35w bulb ? 35w bulb
            2. Tell me long term review, about the battery. Battery needs to be checked for water level, which is occasional and normal. Been using it for a year almost.everything fine, touchwood!
            3. Does it cause any wiring problems ? No problems with wiring, simple mod.
            4. And any other mods made to fit in the lamps ? Mods...headlamp housing needs to be opened up..lengthy one-time process...
            5. The fittings looks perfect, pls name from where it is done if you know it and the complete cost involved. Costs anywhere between 4000-6500-10000...depending on where u get it done.mine costed 6500.
            6. Whats your opinion ? Go for it or stick to stock ? Depends totally on ur priority.looks and works good too!

Why are you so obsessed with DOT5? If you think it gives you better braking performance than DOT4. then you are mistaken. Do you really use your brakes so hard that you are able to reach the threshold of DOT4 boiling point? Most people are not even able to exploit 75% of the braking capacity of the bike. DOT5 is NOT recommend for our bikes as it is not suitable for our systems.

If you still want upgrade you brakes, get yourself a pair of steel braided brake lines. It will take the brakes to a level of performance that is truly sublime.

Well, not an obsession... I just wanted to experiment.. If its what you say it is then i'll heed your advice on this one.. But if DOT5 was suitable then i don't think i would have waited for me to reach the limits of the DOT4 *if i ever could*! Its just that i need the best for my bike... Thanks for the reply!

Hello guys , well .. I've got a news. Sad. Had a fall after doing a 2-up stoppie! Nothing happened to me or the pillion as we were wearing all the riding gears. The bike has got some beating. 6k worth damages. Feeling bad. And in the other news , 24k done on the ODO and 9th service done. Will be hitting goa once I'm done with my exams. Probably in the end of june : ) Cheers and ride safe !

                    ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

And yeah , the damages are -
                    1. Headlight stay broken.
                    2. Handle bar bent.
                    3. Fork bent.
                    4. Rear seat torn.
                    5. Rear fairing (middle and right)
                    6. Silencer guard.
                    7. Right reflector (headlight).
                    8. Engine kill switch has some scratches and scratches on the right part of the bike.
                    Will be claiming insurance.
And my fork balls are gone ? Does anybody have any idea regarding the 'balls' ? :P actually , when I go through a hump or a bad road and if I apply front brakes , there's a sound as if something broke off. Took it to svc and enquired. The mechanic told me that my fork balls are to be replaced. It alone costs around 2.6k (approximately). I was like shit xD

Yehh dude, R15 fork ball-bearing cone set cost a bomb dude. The last I heard wAs somewhere around 3k.
Good thing that you guys use all the right riding gears, but just a small suggestion: instead of shelling out 6-8 k and the likes on repairing your ride, why not put in 1 or 2k more and get a rough second hand bike without much body work and mod it up for your stunts??? That way you can save your regular ride for the more sane riding moods. Huh? Just my two cents...

I know what you're trying to say. But the problem with other bikes is that it lacks power and it isn't reliable. R15 , just pops like heaven. One finger and it pulls like hell. And can't ask my parents for one more bike after getting a costly one. So I'll just stick to r15 and the next time , I'll be sure that my bike is ripped while stunting. And one more thing. What is the life span of fork balls ? My bike's just done 24k. Is it normal ? Noobish :P but it hasn't been discussed on the thread.

Fork balls normally last for at least 2-3 years in normal riding conditions. Provided you dont have a frontal crash or high speed crash. I'm talking about the ones in bikes like Yamaha, Hero Honda, Honda, suzuki. Cant say about Bajaj...
