Just one suggestion, please wear a knee guard(in case you are not wearing it inside the trouser). As in case of a fall, after your head, knee is the part which takes the most impact(personal experience )

Nice click. if only you had shifted your body little to the right (your right) it would have been much better

what you mentioned about heating is spot on. since you experienced it, now you have a better understanding of it.

@all others, experience matters a lot. trust me no one will be able to answer you 100%correct since they do not know what issues you will have. i myself have been trying to gather info with our local bangalore riders (thats why i ask less here ) which helps a lot since they are there to check it out and also keep doing different kinds of rides. long, short, twist's curves etc . you will have a better bonding with the bike. you will learn each aspect of the bike be it throttle control, hard braking, soft braking, controlling that skid during wet surface or muddy surface, do offroading too.

one more thing is that everyone will feel a difference when they get the bike back form service center. WHY?
example: you start riding from 0000kms on odo til 1000kms on odo. now the bike has changed a bit inside in these 1k kms or 30days (example again). you give it for service, suddenly in matters of hours your bike is reset in few things. and when you start riding your clutch, brakes, and acceleration will have a huge difference. during my 8 services i have felt this constantly.

I used to wear knee guards but was not wearing this Sunday and thats why you are seeing me not shifting weight as pointed out by Ron. I was playing safe.

Didn't knew Delhi had places like that, might try next time when I am in the city.
You should have got guards that day, nothing beats the amazing feeling of watching your face on the RVM while taking a good long corner on a highway.

This road is not in Delhi specifically, its half in faridabad and half in gurgaon but distance from Delhi areas is just like nothing so you can say Delhi as well.

The reason for not wearing knee guards is this :
Actually my plan was to ride sanely and reach xbhp Dhaba to sit and eat but this sort of road wont let you do sane things. I was myself riding fast enough but on the way met some friends shooting their Superbikes (636 and 1000RR) on this corner and there started first redlining session at 2000 kms on ODO.

I was on that road in a car recently, but may be too drunk to notice anything outside.

Well mate, if you think, you still don't have that level of patience to control the urge to push that throttle whenever and whatever which I admit I still haven't got.
Do follow full gear protocol whenever you head out, you can get enough regrets on this thread itself on leaving out without gears with the never achieved aim of 'i''ll drive slow', leave alone whole xBhp portal. Not trying to be a teacher here, just I have had enough wounds to warn people. 'Milk burn drink buttermilk slowly slowly' pun intended.

This is a stock replacement filter buddy. Just install it directly into your bike's filter box.
The Simota filter is a LOT cheaper than this actually. I paid Rs. 1650/- for that one, and
                      it was great!

                        Hi All,

I am having a problem in my bike's handlebars for the last couple of days...this happens mostly during riding through bad/rough roads...even when the bike is stationery, and if I rock/strongly push the bike forward holding the front brakes I can feel it...describing the "feeling" actually is bit tough...it is felt mostly on the left side/half of the handle-bar...no tic or kat sound...but, it feels like there is a gap somewhere...when going down or coming up, the handle-bar seems to have a sudden & very slight jump...I can feel slight looseness or empty vibrations in these scenarios...Can anybody please help me out...? my bike is around 5K old on the odo...

                        Regards
                        Ashiq

Came back home, took bike to mechanic, all said too late come tommrow. Paid someone Rs 250 to remove the screws. Will get it fitted properly sat from SVC. Inital impression, waste of money. No sound improvment, a little better pick up (might be just in my head). But never dove above 35km/hr and above 2nd gear. Will go for ride tomm early morning and check. WIll update about this on sunday.

What kind of improvement were you expecting in the first place ? With just a free flow filter. You should have put up a query here or atleast search the internet of the improvements (if any) from using this product. If your bike was pimped up with a bigger bore or a ffe or any such engine mods the free flow filter would have complemented in the overall strain free working of the engine. But just an increased air flow to the stock setup is not going to help. All in all what you might have attained is a slightly more leaner setup than what you already had.

And K&N are not all that popular afterall. Do a through search and you will get what i am saying. I think many here would also agree with me.

I wanted to get them just because of the sound. Not a fan of going crazy on delli traffics. 80-85 is more then enuff for me.
Do you see any bad points for removing it now ? Or is it ok ?

I had fitted RC-1100 on my old CBX-x right in front of the carboretor, the sound was awesome but it screwwed the engine, i think. Now i have spend Rs. 3100 on the filter , and another Rs 250 for fitting it. Shoudl i keep it on ? or remove it ?

                                1st gear @ 10.5 k = 35 km/hr
                                2nd gear @ 10.5 k = 65 km/hr\
                                3rdgear @ 10.5 k = 83 km/hr
                                4th gear @ 10.5 k = 111 km/hr
                                5th gear @5k = 66 km/hr
                                6th gear @5k = 75 km/hr
                                ODO Reading 6k.
Went for ride @ 6.25 AM.

                                Now with K&N
                                1st gear : 42 km/hr.
                                2nd Gear ReadLine : 69 km/hr
                                3rd Gear ReadLine : 109 Km/hr
                                ...
                                ...
                                6th gear @5k = 75 km/hr
Did not had space to check other read lines so did`t.

Now i just noticed earlier i was doing 83 km/hr in 3rd gear, that was read line too. And on 4th gear 111 km/hr. Now with K&N i am doing 109 km/hr in 3rd itself. Am pretty sure it was 3rd gear. 99% sure. But the changes are a little too much for me to believe. Will check again.
