      On the oil part.. Best is to stock with a single oil for as long as you could.. There isn't anything wrong with changing oil brands, but its a good practice to stick with a single oil..
      Any good oil can do the job for long trips..
      Btw.. I don't think the Yamalube oil is that bad.. Maybe its not really good, but it isn't bad either.. Try to stick with it and not take the tension of getting heated with the svc..

      Ride safe and have fun.

        slight screeching sounds starting to come from my brakes...time to clean the pads ? does delaying cleaning it compromise braking power ? so far it doesnt seem like the braking performance has been compromised..

          Nothing will happen if its just dust.. Sound may also be due to worn out pads. Check the pads, if its ok then you can drive for some kms. But clean it asap as it may scratch the disc. Pressure wash between the pads will usually do the job.

                      Very Strange !! Infact front last more than rear!! My Front last almost 8-10K all time.
                      Rear 5-6K all time.

                      This is on riding style as well. Mine is V1.
                      Earlier even I use to eat up pads pretty soon ...lol..

                        my pads seem to be alright, which one would expect at just 3000 kms...braking performance etc is just fine...only a little bit of screeching sound sometimes, thats all...and it's really just a little sound (inside helmet it's not at all audible), only when i am not wearing a helmet inside my campus and braking at slow speed can i hear a bit of that sound...so i guess the pads arent that dusty yet...

                          Any R15 V2 owners there who have replaced their rear tyre to Pirelli SD or Michelin Pilot Street radials? Cant really find any review in this thread. Rear tyre of my V2 is up for replacement now and after all the research I have narrowed down to Pirelli SD 130/70 R17. My requirement is mostly long trips which will include good amount of off roading too (Spiti trip coming up in next year). I want good wet grip also as I ride a lot in rains too (of course as and when it does rain) .
                          Budget not being an issue, do suggest me any better options for my R15. Of course I am not at all keen on changing the dimensions of tyre.

                              Thanks for the prompt reply mate. Actually I have been very happy with stock Revz but its just that I had a lot of skidding issues in Ladakh trip (though the bike never lost control) so was thinking of trying something new. Can you specify your reason for preference of stock over PSD. Is it that Stock's grip and handling is better than PSD?

                                @neoakshay,

                                What's the price of the adjustable levers?

                                Do you have adjustable rearsets for the R15?

                                BTW, lowered clip-on's (like the one's on the YZF-R125 model sold in Europe) will be cool. Please let me know you can get 'em done.
