Saw a black R15v2 today evening with an elaborately done MotoGP Repsol Honda paintjob.

        This one was truly unique.
R15 is really popular among juveniles. Fancy lights, blackened windscreens, riding without a helmet and posing on the street, urgh!
I don't want to sound too critical but in all my 1 and 3/4 year 24k km of riding i have not yet come across a single 'good rider' on a R15.
The only good ones (and i can count them on the fingers of one hand) were on Splendors (you won't believe how good some guys can ride it!), Pulsars and a Ninja 250. Its a shame really.

some would say riders like us in full riding gear are posing as well :P

but yeah i know what you mean...i am sure most of the sportbike riders in india (also elsewhere, but particularly here) have no idea even theoretically what a sportbike really is purpose-built for and such...that's also a good thing because in trying to pose, they may screw up road/traffic conditions for the others..

i have had a few lol instances here in allahabad with other random R15 riders on the road when one of them see me going through in that riding gear looking like a racer or alien or poser whatever, get excited and kinda want to race or beat me as if like a street race or something while in traffic..LOL..i just get away from their nuisance.

it's true, there's a lot of juvenile-minded R15 and CBR riders...am sure many ninja and other sportbike riders too..it's that those bikes being too costly dont have too many owners in the first place and thus not too many juvenile-minded riders.

Okay, so I have been using the Osram NB for both the headlamps for close to a month now and I haven't come across any trouble from the battery. Its been so far so good. The lights surely are a lot better than the stock, I don't even have to use the high beam, since low beam itself gives good enough lighting.
I'm thinking about getting adjustable or shorty levers for more comfort, anyone know of any place where they sell these? Or has anyone installed them?

@incipient R15 truly attracts a lot more juvenile wannabe posers than any other bike. But off late though, the no. of R15 posers that I have seen has decreased atleast in my locality it has, now more and more kids are riding NS,220 and CBR 150s. If you are on full riding gear, you attract everybody's attention on the road, juvenile or not, and they will race with you no matter even if they are scoots or tvs 50s. Believe it or not, on our return journey from horsley hill a couple of weeks back, a guy on discover 135 was trying to race with us just because we were on full riding gear. We pitied that guy. He didn't even have a helmet.

Thats what was written in your signature which you doesn't seems to have it now.
                      Anyway made correction.
Recently went to AH helmets looking for riding gloves and got SPG ares.
Also looked for tank pads which were too costly. And the cheap once were not to be put on to bike.
                      Any suggestions?

Hi. I am Vishak and have been riding a CBR250R for more than a year and have clocked around 13000 kms including couple of Bangalore to Kanyakumari and a few other long rides. I sold it recently after riding my brother's R15 V 2 which he had purchased recently. It was love at first sight and immediately decided to sell my CBR and go for R15. But last week when I rode his R15 for an hour or so (combined bangalore outskirts and some highway ride) I felt wrist discomfort. Is this something which one gets initially until body adapts to new riding position. I am sure that most of you would have had similar experiences. Kindly share your thoughts.

R15 has a more sportier stance than CBR.
So it would take sometime to get adjusted and in your case, even less since you were riding a sports bike before this.
Don't worry, keep riding and you will find your sweet spot soon

                          Ride safe and have fun.

The first time you will take off ,are the only painful moments ( I had to use volini for 3 days ,suffered a good back pain) ,but as you add more kms, it is good ride to play with ,the main pain areas will be spine and wrists .and they will adjust themselves after 50-100 kms, dont worry
