i suppose unless one's rev limiting (or near about it) every now and then on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time, everything should be fine...it's a bike meant to be ripped and ridden at high speeds in excess of 110 or 120 at high RPMs (6000-9000 on a regular basis) for prolonged times...no point in babying a bike that's built to do so, among some other of its purposes...just so long as one's not nearly red lining it every now and then everyday (even then it probably will be fine but it's surely taking a risk on engine life on a long term basis).

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Okay i'll check it out at the SVC. Don't think its that final transmission noise. This is more of a whoosh with a loud click at regular intervals. Very consistent with a stressed chain. Thanks. I did lube my chain yesterday though.Originally posted by Suresh@yammie View PostI
You can do it by yourself or you can let any mechanic to do it so ... Some krshhhh nose will come, its a typical sports bike final transmission noise... one must feel and love it
Its always better to check the chain tension by shaking the chain with palm underneath it , lubricate it for every 200 kms , do periodic chain service only in ASC.

Why not try some photoshop before that, or even ms-paintOriginally posted by Suresh@yammie View PostI want to change the outer fairing and rear panel for my raring red..

Will give you some idea of how it might look. Download the images and try editing the sp. edition over you bike color.
You can get the fairing from the svc, but it might cost more than normal one.
Ride safe and have fun.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
oh forgot to say yesterday, finally got the rear hugger off..i mean fully off, not sawing it half off...earlier i had sawing it half off in my mind like most people, but then in the rainy times there'd be too much mud splashing all over the place so intended to have a mudguard for those months...but sawing it off meant having to buy the mudguard every rainy season...so just decided to take it off fully and when the rainy months come again after 4-5 months from now i'll install it again, and then again take it off once the rains are gone and so on and so forth...
the rear looks so so hotter now with nothing to cover that badass tyre...drooling even more on the bike now due to that...
however i need to clean, shine and generally pimp my bike up one of these days...havent been caring about its exterior cleanliness/shine for many months now...too many bugspots and all kinds of dust marks on the fairings etc...

Yes bro.... the bugspot/mud will go through the monoshocks.... You need to clean dirt more often than you always would. But the fully naked rear look will add more aggressiveness to the bike, its really awesomeOriginally posted by nadz11.ns View PostI had also seen a few with fully naked rear wheel and they look hot

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
The outer fairing stickers of the 50th ann. edition has a continuation on to the tank too. So it wont look good unless you put that stickers on your tank too. Personal opinionOriginally posted by Suresh@yammie View PostI want to change the outer fairing and rear panel for my raring red..
