Never ever redlined the bike.... Just tried for a top speed... but I didn't want to go near or above 9k rpm so slowed down after touching 130kph! This happened just once... Gear shifts are normally done at 3.5k rpm and crusing speed is around 70-85kph or 5k-6k rpm! Switched on to FS Shell and things got way too smoother. And also when i drained the oil at 1000kms, The Yellowish colour of Yamalube was still intact... Thought it would have blackened but nope! Thats it!
3.5k or even less is what meant for standard bikes...even they wouldn't be so relaxed about it... Feel the thrush acceleration of r15 bro, going past 6k rpm before every gear shift won't hurt the engine, coz that's a way it was designed... Mind you, you have a true sport bike & you spent around 1.3lacs for it

Today while washing the bike, i saw that the rear disc is not smooth. Like only the center part is being rubbed by the pads and there is about 1-2mm raise at the disc boundary.
The pads has been changed ones in the total run of about 13k kms and the earlier pads were also changed before their end life.

What could be the reason for this ?
Have you ever noticed the hardness or bit of screechy noise when applying break?

Naa.. I checked for that. There is no noise. If it was due to worn-out pads (metal to metal contact) I would have surely noticed.
Actually, its my brother's bike and I ride it only a few time, but today i rode it for 5-6 kms and didn't got any noise as such.
The front disc is quite smooth, but the rear is like this

                Ride safe and have fun.

I spoke to a showroom guy today when I took my bike for service... He said our technicians have been scheduled the technical training program( includes troubleshooting demo) of r25 in two weeks.. That guy damn sure about the surprising launch of r25 before 2015 and he claimed that he will test out r25 when it reaches the showroom:what:he represents pdi for newly launched bikes in that showroom.

If that case, the pads has got nothing to do with it... roughness might have been created by old pad, since you claimed that they have been replaced regular interval so this could be ruled outSo the problem will be on disc plate.... I reckon you to check the whole caliper assembly , the disc alone may not be the culprit.take it to ASC and find out mystery behind this malfunction

Ya, maybe the alignment isn't correct. Will visit a svc and get it checked soon.

There will be a roughness whatsoever as u munch more miles. Quite common. Unless the disc becomes too thin, or it produces screeching noise due to the marks or scratches on the disc, or if the braking efficiency is reduced due to reasons other than pads or brake fluid ,there isnt a reason to change the disc afaik.
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Ya mate, roughness would be there.
What I am saying is that there is a slight bulge at the boundary of the disc of about 1-2mm and can be felt by touching, rest of the disc is quite smooth. Anyways, will get it checked soon. thanks

That is how it will be. The portion where pads work will get thin. The edge (outermost layer) gets thick. Thats how it is. I am talking abut the rear disc
