Just warm up the engine a bit, and when you release the throttle an infrequent noise would be there (only if tappet is not properly set). It is similar to the noise which comes from catalytic converter. Even I haven't noticed it before..

anyway, just after posting my previous post it occurred to me that since in the coming weekend i am going to superficially pimp my bike up with a few label stickers (yamaha racing, YZF, motul and perhaps a motogp logo (above the "special edition" sticker that's already there), monster energy logo and #99 in red), i might as well just ask them to print some plain blue stickers and paste them on some of the overtly white parts that i'd prefer having some more blue on them...hoping the whole thing doesnt cost all that much and that i dont mess up my bike's graphics haha.

if only i could find a shop around here that does rim tapes..well to be honest i havent really tried finding one all that much either...
That's a nice idea. Just check PlanetDSG or Ebay, you can find variety of rim tapes over there. Even some manufacturers provide it with applicator unit which properly aligns the tape with rim during application, makes the job quite easier.

Under cowl is one place where you can stick Motul.
Rim tapes available in stickering shops .... I'm going to do some graphics by removing the entire sticker..

Hi,

Anyone knows good service center in Delhi. I have been getting my bike serviced at JM Motors in Noida and I don't think they are doing good servicing.

I don't feel any improvement in anything after servicing and engine feels quite rough and less rev happy compared to a new R15 that my friend bought a month ago. I have done around 12000 kms in last two years, mostly at average city speeds and some long stint at highway speeds.
Also in the last service they changed the clutch place (does it need replacing that early, I had Discover 125 and changed it's clutch plate once after 22000 kms?)

But still, does anyone else feel let down if one shifts at 5-6k (especially in city).

thanks in advance.

napster89 - no i meant finding some place that does proper rim tapes here in my place, much cheaper than the prices on the online stores...online buying it is second option, in case i am that desperate for rim tapes...
Suresh@yammie - yes under cowl area is what i too have in mind for motul...seems to be the ideal place for a motul sticker, perhaps because always seen motul/castrol/etc written on GP or SBK bikes on that part of the fairings...

about revs your heart, yeah hadnt thought of it, kinda find that tagline a bit cheesy at times :P but wouldn't be too bad i guess...will decide at the last moment about it impulsively haha.

i absolutely love that big YAMAHA written on that 2013 red R15 whose pic you have posted...

The reason why I was thinking to put "revs your heart" is I have seen that in Factory yamaha bikes of both rossi and Lorenzo
And its not a sponsor logo, very own slogan of Yamaha, it's born in moto gp.

That is my bike.. I was kinda frustrated that yamaha did not do any justice to my bike, it was plain as milk not even a small Yamaha was written out anywhere in the fairing So I put big YAMAHA....

yes yes i know "revs your heart" is no sponsor logo (:P) and that since sometime in last year yamaha has this new tagline written on their GP bikes as well as on showrooms etc...what i meant to say but didnt completely say was that despite of all that i kinda find that slogan a bit cheesy sometimes :P

yeah the 2013 red colour scheme seemed a bit empty and incomplete to me, in the sense that i was bothered by it (and also the 2013 black one) not having any yamaha written anywhere...that was plain odd...but on the positive side it left a lot of empty space on the fairings to stick any sticker on it howsoever one wants, and so that big red yamaha written counter to the graphic flow of the bike looks kickass.

Does my bike require any graphics? especially on tank which is getting faded by the typical sport riding posture. Thinking of removing the entire stickers and go for custom graphics.... There will be wide range of full / semi graphics for R15.

Any precautionary measures required for projectors while doing water wash ?

It's open to all who has got the projectors installed in their bike..Do share your thoughts:

same here infact the last time i took my bike for servicing they destroyed 1 of my hid ballasts
anyways just this photo is with me phone lost no camera with me too totally broke but hope this suffices. The inner bulbs are a bit dim as the batt was a bit low and i intentionally used 4 projectors(by putting the light switch on low beam and pressing the flasher button) else i use 2 at a time with no issues Click image for larger version
