I hear a continuous ticking noise when i freely rotate the wheel. I just got the bike serviced two days ago, and I think he has tightened the chain a bit too much. I believe the noise is from the chain. Is that okay? Or should i get it loosened?

You can do it by yourself or you can let any mechanic to do it so ... Some krshhhh nose will come, its a typical sports bike final transmission noise... one must feel and love it Its always better to check the chain tension by shaking the chain with palm underneath it , lubricate it for every 200 kms , do periodic chain service only in ASC.

I just got a high CO reading (above the max permissible limit) during a pollution check. What might be reason?
The bike runs normally. Although i realized that the spark plug was last changed 15k km ago. Don't know if its because of that.

after a quite long time a really long high speed ride with several kickass cornerings.

pic from the point of turning back, somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

Guys is it safe to do 8k Rpm all day?? I usually do 7k Rpm which is pretty relaxed. Read somewhere its safe to do 20% below revlimit all day, which translates to 8400 Rpm. Is it true?? Seniors please advice

First thing is, I don't think anyone would do that 24 hours continuous unless he is out of this world. Although it should be fine with the R15 motor. Its bullet proof

The bike does 110 @7500rpm so I guess above 115kmph @ 8400 rpm. There are only a few roads in India like gq and a few expressways where we can maintain such speeds.
I did a 500 km ride recently where I was constantly above 110kmph for about 180 kms without any problem. Yes it can do 120kmph all day.
But it does take a toll on your bike in the long run where there more wear and tear because of constant high engines speed.
I personally feel it's best to keep saner speeds of 90-110kmph even on expressways where the engine is @ speeds varying from 6k to 7.5k rpm.

And moreover our indian road is very much below par even if one does think of clocking 120+km on daily basis

Yes like Ivin said its not going to make any difference with engine... Yamaha very much aware that guys will make the most of r15( clocking 100kms all day) it will automatically restore everything regardless of how hard it was ridden & its the hallmark of this machine...no worries....keep going:thumbup:

Doesn't mean all day literally when confirmed it can do all day, we can do it for atleast half an hour if roads permit.. And today i did 90-115kmph continuously in highway. That's why i want to confirm

Its safe ofcourse but if you are doing 8k plus 'continuously' for say an hour or more on a regular basis you will wear out the motor sooner for sure.
