when hugger is on it had created the impression like the rear tyre look slightly wider seeing from behind.
Removing the whole hugger makes the tyre look very thin from behind. my personal opinion...

As you said it was a good idea to remove the entire hugger rather than cutting it off and nicely install it whenever you feel like..

You can get Motul DOT-4 brake fluid fom any motul dealer or else you can also use Bosch DOT-4. I also used the same.
DOT 4 is used for R15 v2 afaik

yes at times it does appear to be so...the hugger sure made it seem fatter at times...

when looked from a distance right from its behind sometimes it does feel a bit thin, but then when i see the full view of that tyre a bit closer up it compensates the impression of it being a bit thin..anyway it's just a superficial thing..

from the side view though, i cant stop drooling over it haha (for instance the 4th pic posted by me)

Yes... Even i saw dot 4 when i bleed last time. I mean it was transparent(dot 4) whereas dot 3 is red if am correct.
Its better to sweat than bleed!! "AGATT "

I have had a really annoying time with my bike and the SVC. My bike has only run around 2.5k kms in almost 11 months. A sound comes from the engine post 6k RPM, irrespective of the gear. Also, while doing engine braking in a lower gear, a 'tak tak' kind of sound is heard. When i showed it to the service centre, the mechanic said that he could not even hear it and said that there was no problem with the bike. This was around September. Went again, and this time another mechanic rode the bike and said that he did hear the sound and asked me to drain my fuel tank (had more than half a tank) and then change the bunk from where i fill petrol. Siphoned out the petrol at a local garage. The guy at the garage said that the petrol was good. Anyway, filled petrol from another bunk and rode it for a few days, but the sound was still there. When i went back to the SVC, they asked me to visit after Durga Puja as they were very busy. This was in October. Still i was patient enough. After Durga Puja, i couldn't visit the SVC, due to some work. So, went in December, to get my 4th free service done. That time also, they could not fix the problem. There was one mechanic, who even said that: "Why do you need to take the bike beyond 6k RPM? At 6k RPM, your speed would be around 150 kmph." This is exactly what he said. Despite showing the sound again and again, they couldn't rectify it. Became really furious and mailed Yamaha about the problem. They responded quickly and the SVC called me a day after sending the mail and asked me to pay a visit. Went there, and this time, another mechanic checked my bike. When i showed him the sound, he said that he would not be able to kill the sound. He asked me to ride another R15 to confirm. Did, and it was smooth as ever. No sound, even at 9k RPM in the first gear. He said that he would deliver the bike the next day. So, when i went the next day, he said that he had adjusted the tappets, and tightened the head bolts. Rode the bike, but the sound was still there, but it felt a little bit smoother. Was in a hurry, so couldn't check properly and had to leave. The next day when i rode the bike again, the same problem was still there. Called the Yamaha help-line, and the representative asked me to reply to the complaint closure mail. Did that. After a day, they replied, telling that the serive centre is ready to rectify the problem. Went there, and this time, the mechanic who is certified to service the R1 bikes, looked into the matter. So, after he rode the bike, he said that the sound was coming from the tappets. The sound was increasing much more, with increasing RPM. After around two-three days, he called me and asked me to collect it. This time, i checked it really well, and the sound had vanished. It was smooth like the other R15-s, Was happy about that. He said that he had changed the rocker assembly. After riding it for around 200 kms, the same sound started to become prominent again. Noticed it first, while doing engine braking. After few days, the sound came back, just the way it was. Felt really depressed, and the day before yesterday, i again took it to the service centre. This time, that same mechanic, did not even agree to have heard any sound. I made him ride behind me and pointed out the same sound, and yet he said that the bike had no problems. Felt really helpless, and today, called Yamaha and complained again. They said that they would revert within 48 hours. As the sound is the same, i'm sure that it is because of the tappets only!

I really don't know that what i should do next! Please help me guys!! What is supposed to be done, if the SVC doesn't cooperate?

Thanks in advance!
Just wait until the timeline they given.... Then ask them to replace the engine... One of my friend's r15 engine got burst( rare mechanical failure ) while on the move. He took the issue to yamaha SVC , they took almost a week and change the new engine after getting the approval from yamaha india....the incident may not be the same but. You deserved to get the new engine if your problem hasn't got any solution. Mind you this should be the last option if hardly anything works out in your favor:thumbup:

Okay okay.. I had asked them the change the oil on my FZ and they said they will use DOT-3, so I changed it myself with DOT-4.
Might be DOT-4 for R15v2.

Ride safe and have fun.

Yes bro.... For me it reminds me bit of r125.... All though the extreme rear section scores slight lesser than other angles.. Nevertheless It does got the appealing look, I don't think any bike dare to compete with r15 in its segment... it produces killer look in 360 degree angle with or without hugger, stunning performence all around, Master of track & uncomparable aerodynamics...
I may offered any bigger bike in future (only yamaha) but, at the moment I'm very proud to be a r15 owner

I was unnecessarily worried about the thing which is nothing more than ecu control.

What is the correct posture to sit on the bike. I've been riding since a month and from last week my wrists started taking the stress. It hurts after the ride . I usually sit slightly away from the tank and lean forward to grab the handlebars with my elbows bent. Is it correct way to sit.

Yup... But don't put your body weight on your wrists when you lean... Keep you hands fully loose and just bend your back. This takes time to get used. But most of us got used to it in a week. Dunno why you still didn't figure it out.

Now,ask me to ride anyother bike which has erect posture... My back hurts

If you ask this question you will be told how to keep your elbows bent and be light on the bars etc. But the real problem could be your strength/fitness level. Can you do 'atleast' 10 push ups and 2 pull-ups. If the answers is no then you know what you need to do. Or you can just continue riding and over time your body will get 'bike fit' but basic strength training will do wonders.

Add to what siddharthsure said, just let your both thighs firmly hugging the fuel tank
