Your SVC is full of gas!!! As I have mentioned it before, you are better off not handing your bike to them. They really don't know what they are talking about. Any sealed chain such as a 'O' ring, 'Z' ring or 'X' ring chain does NOT have a chain lock. If a chain has a chain lock it is an ordinary chain and not a ring sealed chain. I own a V1 model which has a 'O' ring chain and does not have a chain lock. So what does you SVC have to say to that?

He added that all V1 models has that chain lock in its ring....

    Is this right?

Coz i need to pull out the chain and my v2's chain does not has that ring lock.....so i need to get the swing arm loosen?

If the bold part is right, better replace the chain. Its not healthy for the bike and it would also damage the sprockets.
btw, how do you plan to correct the bent rings ?

I want to take out that chain and immerse it in diesel for some and clean it, then i will use stain remover spray, after that will immerse it in used engine oil for few hours......then i will clean it with WD40 and Lube it properly..........(I know it does not makes sense but you can say it as Hit and Try method)

If the chain does not get right after this hell of process, i have to empty my pocket with 3200Rs for a new chain.....let me know if you have some other troubleshoot for this problem....

          Odo shows 10.5k kms
          completed all 6 servicing
          purchased on november 2012

            Thats some work you planned.
But i don't see the need of it, just clean and lube the chain normally.
Also, the time has come to change the chain sprocket. Normally at around 12k its recomemded to change (ofcourse its for preventive measures, i had done the same)

Kiss the chain goodbye. Once the links are bent they cannot be recovered. The damage is already done. Buy a new chain and take care to clean and lubricate it regularly. Also always maintain the correct slack on the chain as recommended in the owners manual. These are the lesson you need to take form this learning.

Ohh, so we need to change the chain & sprocket in 12k kms, i was not aware of that coz i read somewhere in this thread that some of us has no problem untill 18k-20k kms(i know its-Conditions applied).....well if thats the case i surely need to change the chain set......and yes i have learned a lot about maintaining chain and i wont take carelessly from now on.......
                thankyou

I made a post under "help me" Need help to understand if this is a YZF-R15 design fault., which got tagged as "moved" and it links to the first page of this thread. But I cannot find my post. Is it lost and I should post it again, or am I looking in the wrong places?

Okay, I'm assuming my post is lost somewhere, so I am re-posting it. Sorry mod if I am breaking any rules here.

                            Hi,

I own a yamaha R15v2.0 (I know, its an R15v2.0 thread, but i like saying it! ), 6 months old, which i ride almost everyday. Must've done about 4.5K by now. Sometimes I carry a pillion rider on it (no discretion there, pillion rider weighs anywhere from 45-85kilos). I usually ride somewhere between 75-90kmph when alone. Just the other day, as I was washing it, I noticed that the rear fiber piece is broken around the screw which it is held by, under the rider seat. Funny bit is it's broken on both the sides (attached pictures).

Now I don't know how this has happened. I am actually wondering whether it's my fault or is it a Design flaw. Cause if it is a design flaw, maybe I could persuade Yamaha to replace it for me, for free or something. I actually am curious to know if I am the only person with this or has anyone else faced this issue too. Comments from fellow R15v2.0 riders would be greatly appreciated!

hey guys, I'm new to this thread. I own an r15 v2 LE about 8 months old. I've got a query about oil change. The bike has clocked 6k and i would like to know if it would be apt to switch to full synthetic. If not, when should I?

                              Thanks

This is the most delicate part of R15 V2. You will find lot of people with broken tail pieces at screw area including me
