Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
There is one option with Daytona kit by YAMAHA. It includes big petal disc, steel braded brake lines and new master cylinder. I hope you can buy this setup separately.Originally posted by hemanth4bike View PostWhat's the best front-Disc break system i can get for my YZF R15 v2.0 other than stock?i prefer big sized and petal designed one's for performance. But other suggestion are also required.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Hey guys!
My account just got approved and I would like to say, that having spent some time on these forums recently I have learned and gathered some valuable information from the members here. So a big thanks!
Just booked the Limited Edition ( Fiery Red). Probably one of the last two in Bangalore. I was hoping if someone could help me date the bike. By that I mean how could one find the year of the bikes manufacturing? Is there a number or some ID on the engine or any other body part of the bike? Also if I need to look for any particulars or specifics while taking delivery of the bike?
It would be helpful just to know these details so that I can be at peace with my purchase.
Thanks in advance.Last edited by Ro84; 06-10-2013, 06:08 PM.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Are you sure you actually "thoroughly" read the manual?Originally posted by Sonu Joshi View PostI thoroughly read the whole manual it says, not to exceed 4.5k rpm until 500km and and 5.5k afterwards upto1k km and first service. I'm following the manual properly.
The manual recommends 5k till 500km and 7.5k after 500km until 1k km.
Also it doesn't say that you "should not" exceed the specified rpm limits but recommends that you "avoid prolonged usage" over the specified RPM limits and not to go full throttle during run-in (1k km).

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
As far as I know, the Fiery Red production was stopped in the year 2012. The 4 new colours on the Yamaha India website are the only one that is manufactured in the year 2013.Originally posted by Ro84 View PostHey guys!

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Apart from all those colours on their site, I dont think any of the other colours are 2013 manufactured. Better check it out and get an assurement from the dealer.Originally posted by Ro84 View PostIt's not called fiery red in that case. Its definitely 50th Anniversary Limited Edition which I believe has also been stopped just recently.Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Yes I will check it out with dealer and get confirmation from him about the year of make. Just wanted to know of there are any indicators about the year of manufacture on the bike itself.Originally posted by Ivin View PostApart from all those colours on their site, I dont think any of the other colours are 2013 manufactured. I think LE can be of 2013, as it was in production till the start of this year. But still check for your satisfaction.Originally posted by Ro84 View PostYes I will check it out with dealer and get confirmation from him about the year of make. Check the pic. The piece of white sticker I marked has had info about year of manufacture in the past, while I have also seen bikes without the year marking. Read that sticker. Sometimes, it will be written.Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..
