Don't look at the speedo, just keep the bike within the rpm limit of 4k-5k, with shifting gears at below 4k rpm. Try not to give sudden throttle, instead give linear throttle always . Always vary speeds, take breaks after some 20kms continuous riding, and try not to worry too much and enjoy the ride.
Also reading the manual helps a lot.

    Cheers

During run-in of a machine, one has to keep a check is just on RPM i.e within 5K. And regarding speed you can ride 50-60Kms managing the RPM within the limits.

      Have a wonderful ride!

      Cheers!

Bro run-in should be done with techometer, not with Speedo. For first 500 kms you are allowed to go upto 5k i.e 75 kmph and for 500-1000 kms allowed rpm limit is 7k i.e 100 kmph. Rule of the thumb is that you have to vary the rpms between specified limits. Most important thing is not to lug the engine as many people while babying the engine change gear very early and it puts unnecessary load on engine, optimum gear change rpm for first 500 kms is 4k and after that 5k. Dont accelerate suddenly and dont ride at same rpm for long. I hope it helps.

Thanx man, Yeah hardly any difference.

But, I desperately need to change the rubber, they have clocked 19k on the odo with few holes. Tires were sliding past 6k rpm when exiting the corner, I could feel the bike slipping but few laps and they were good to go. Will change it soon, awaiting for PSD in Pune.

Cheaper yes, but not more soft, I have seen the PSD on a R15, braking is much more easier, esp during wet. Yes, the Zapper is apt but trust me PSD is much more refined, grip is not the only thing I see in the tire, braking comes effectively too!

As per Yamaha svc, change sparK plug, change oil, oil filter, oil filter o ring, change air filter, change fork oil, apply lithium based grease on swing-arm and cone set, but all at 12k kms. Thats all I think

Hi fellow riders, i need your help/suggestion. the problem I am having is a bit tricky to describe, still, I will try to describe it through the attached pic. under normal circumstances, when front-brake is applied, the handle/front fork is supposed to move vertically (downward and upward) in an angle, right..? recently, what I am experiencing is, under hard braking the handle feels wobbly and feels like it's moving horizontally to the front...this happens more during braking on slopes or downward paths..for example, the landing ramp to the parking in the basement...and, during those moments, (i mean when the front brake is applied on slopes only), the handle feels pretty loose in a horizontal dimension...

what might be the reason for it? please do let me know if any of you have come across an issue like this.
btw, i will be taking my ride for the servicing this friday and it has done 5000 KMs so far.

                              Regards

In this video there are some extra lights just above the meter console. The meter is shown only towards the last of the video. What could be it ?
