P.S. - Any plans to get rid of the tyre hugger?

            • Hey guys, me personally don't own a R15 but my cousin does. So i would want to know how to make the R15 a bit more sexier !! I want some ideas on how to remove that awful looking fender ( not the tyre hugger ) from the bike. As far as I saw there is only one way, to cut the fender off the hugger?

I want the bike to look like this ( not without the rear foot-pegs and the number plate holder and all, need only the fender removed )

The idea of registering in Jan is right for resale purposes.
good to know that. (hope karnataka RTO rules are similar)

                thanks sarvajit

Yes the Aux lights are Led's, custom done by an xbhpian friend. The cost of job would come around 60 bucks for a pair. But brighter than stock aux lamps and good to use as day time running lights.

                  • Got my red rachel ..... Finally

                    MY dear friends

THE ONE LONG YEAR WAIT FOR MY BEAST GOT OVER FINALLY
ITS ONE OF MY GREATEST ACQUISITIONS TILL DATE

Got my RED Rachel last evening ( R/W )
felt like im on top of the world
when i first ignited her and took her from the Dealership
But bfore that............. i observed a small scratch on the front visor
and questioned the dealer , he was like telling all possible reasons
                    JAIN YAMAHA : T NAGAR , CHENNAI , TAMILNADU
i had it written on my delivery note and he promised me to change it in my next visit

now coming to the first ride from there to my house ( 18 kms approx )
                    the feel was awesome
i kept her under 4k and drove back home
exactly 9 bikerS and a person from a car onthe way asked me the details and complimented the looks of our beast

The initial pick up was amazing and its a riders paradise
now coming to my observations ,, & questions

The gear shifting was very hard to change and i struggled a bit
i was quite confused that i shud whether use till the 6th one
as i was cuudling her in full city traffic ( 20 ~ 40 kms ) only
i felt like some grunt all over my ride is that okay ????

PLS CLARIFY FRIENDS LOOKING FORWARD FOR UR COMMENTS

so far ive done 35 kms

                      • Better finance scheme for r15 v.2.0

Hi, to all chennai r15 v-2.0 owners. I have visited ambal motors today for getting quotation for r15 v-2.0. The bike's price is 1,21,575. For finance they said the minimum down payment is 46471 and EMI-3541 for 30 months(asked for 3years). Is this a good scheme or any of you got any other better finance options for your bike in chennai. The finance scheme said by the showroom people is of BAF India's scheme. Will any other bank provides any good finance option? Thanks in advance...

                        • Oh Guys..its damn annoying to wait for the bike, I am loosing my cool indeed.
I had booked the Bike in Sept. 2011, may be among top 15th booking. The Dealer had promised me to give the delivery of bike within 45days which is almost over.. Every weekend I go to his showroom to see his regretful smile .. I have booked the Red/White to which he claims its out of stock, it seems most of the bookings have gone to this color. I tried convincing myself to go for other available bike with Blue or Black color but somehow Red has stuck to my mind Guess I wouldn't be soo obsessed taking my marriage but yes to take the delivery of the Bike .... I wont stop giving nightmares to dealer until I get my bike
A good rider is one who looks at both side of the road, even on One way!

on the same boat bro. the temptation to cancel the booking and go for cbr (immediate delivery - mysore) is just too much, every time i get the feeling I go to the showroom and lay my hands on her, walk around her, take a few deep breathes looking at her, sit on her, then head back. red/white here too.

Which dealer have you gone to?? Red will take longer time. From what I heard, 2 months approx. Black/Blue takes 45 days. I have booked Blue R15, 40 days up.. Still no word of the bike
