Booked the bike on 12th September, got it on 24th October. Its a nice bike, driving per the manual under 5000 rpm for 500 kms and then 7.5 till 1000 kms. Wish I could do the highways to make the 1000 kms fast, but the manual says not to. Pics attached

Waiting for PlanetDSG to get my riding gear, but they are out of stock for some of the stuff I like. Do you guys know any good website other than planetdsg and performanceracing to buy riding gear?

          How about Cramster riding gears?

I also booked my bike on 28th Sept but still waiting for the delivery. I have booked a blue one. Still haven't got any confirmation from the dealer about the delivery date and this is frustrating me even more. I even thought of cancelling the booking and going for cbr 250r as it is easily available.

I have few questions to the R15 v2.0 owners:
              1) I will be using my bike for almost 60 to 70 km everyday out of which 40km would be on highway. So will the bike be comfortable for this long ride? I will be riding solo...
(Since R15 has aggressive riding posture and not a tourer bike, most of them say its not comfortable for long rides, specially if u are covering distance of +200kms.. within 100kms shouldn't be a problem atall.. It depends on how best you adjust your riding positions.. if you are not comfortable -take a mini break, stretch ur body and you will be good to go)
              2) I have read in this tread that in the initial period till 1000km one should not ride the bike constantly in one gear. But as I will be riding mostly on highway there wont be any need to change the gears much and would be riding constantly on the 6th gear at a speed of 50 to 60km/hr. Will this harm the engine?
(Your point is valid, we wont see a need to change gears on highways and riding in one gear doesn't harm your engine during run-in period..however the main objective of run-in period is to set your engine to all gears, therefore its good to keep changing your gears..)
              Thanks in advance.

and you should change your gear from 4-5-6 as you said you will mostly drive on highways

Please find my comments to your questions 'in bold'... appreciate if other people would add more perspectives ..

                      • Hey congrats to all of you for owning the beauty V2 , All first timers hold you horses below 5 k rpm till first service and 7.5 k rpm till 2nd service. I know its difficult to hold it for 4 k kms but i am saying as it will pay off in long run as i have experienced it and now close to 1 year and close to 13 k kms engine is smooth as compared to others who screwed all rpms in runnin in period.

I said all that just because, while 'reconsidering' the options (even after booking ),
I went and sat on the CBR 250 (Instant delivery), came out, gave a thought..

But, then looked at the wallpaper, cleared my mind and that place given back to R15..

Thanks to you, almost had thought about cancelling the booking.

Anyways, 'ATLEAST FOR NOW', the booking still there.

                            Hopefully, wont be switching again.
