The only difference is in the seat height-V1 had 790mm. whereas V2 has 800mm.Originally posted by soojy007 View Postthanks guys. yes, the rider posture in V2 is more sportier than V1 it seems and hence the query.
You feel that way coz the overall ride height is slightly increased due to the fatter tyre profile.
In reality both will feel 90% the same so V1 is the best indicator to compare with.
Don't compare with CBR or Ninja's riding stance-they are closer to Karizma/P220.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Got My Babe!!
Yesterday took the delivery of my sweetheart
...
The engine is smooth, gears are a bit hard esp during downshifting...and the ride is very uncomfortable (atleast as of now). It pains a lot in the wrists..but no back or shoulder pain. Hopefully should get used to the riding position soon.

It pains a lot in the wrists..- were you mainly riding it in city traffic? but no back or shoulder pain. Hopefully should get used to the riding position soon.

I am 5ft 10in 58kg and my job also demands me to sit in front of pc for 7-8 hrs everyday. I haven't ridden cbr so can't comment comparatively but trust me bro V2 is an awesome bike it has exceeded my personal expectations on all fronts, good to drive in traffic also. Yes it will give you backpain but its just a matter of tine before getting used to it so take your decision only after you see the true colours of V2 personally. And we can do some back exercises to make sure it doesn't affect our back in the long run. In fact I think I should add this aspect also in my ride report.Originally posted by soojy007 View Postsorry to deviate from topic, maverick how tall are you?.
two of my friends here got cbr and they are forcing me in the same direction saying "its just 48K extra and you will get all the more boost in displacement, bhp, and more low-mid end torque...." And my only concern is about this backache thing (my job demands me to sit infront of a pc 9+ hours a day and don't want to add on to it)
awaiting report of your ride and pics
PS: I'm 6 Ft tall and 60KGs (terribly underweight
)
PS:sorry to keep you guys waiting for trip log cum ride report. I'm en route to vishakhapatnam sine yesterday so will upload as soon as I get my hands on a pc tomorrow. It will take ages if I try it from my cell today.Last edited by maverick.najju; 11-24-2011, 05:34 PM.Solo ride to Ladakh - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/2...ia-ladakh.html

HID on the Baby R
Hi guys
I installed a pair of H4 HID's on my Baby R.
The lighting is a killer. Adjusted the beams so that there is no glare to the oncoming traffic.
One major problem about the lighting is solved now.
Completed my first service also. Bike is more smooth right now. Planning to go on a long ride to check the top end.
Getting a consistent 43 kmpl.
Now some queries
Where can we get the fully adjustable rear sets for the R15
What about adjustable clutch and brake levers
Any info would be highly appreciated

V2 impressions
I finally got to test ride the V2 today. I am stating my feelings which need not hold good for others. Neither do I say this because I am a V1 owner. This post is NOT intended to spark a dispute between old&new owners.
Coming to the ride,
Contrary to what was stated, I felt no difference in the initial pickup/power delivery whatsoever.
The showroom staff (pillion) was seated behind me in an awkward way with his hands on my shoulders. I didn't like it one bit.
The bike feels much higher than the V1, almost like a CBR in terms of ride height. The low slung sporty feeling is gone&it feels like a Fazer with a lower handlebar.
The handlebar is the same as V1 though the seat doesn't feel the same.
The rear seems to be heavy, sluggish&trying its best to keep up with the front on sharp corners/road undulations.
While getting off, I hit my foot against the rear panel. I expect this to happen to all people who ride the bike too.
Though the V2 looks like a bigger/more capable bike, all in all, I feel V1 was low slung, sportier, more in control, flickable&swift compared to V2.
Just my thoughts once again.Quench my thirst with gasoline!
