Front suspension is not good, every single pot hole on the road feels like I fell down on a hard rock with my complete body weight on wrists (Wrist Pain)
Bought had gloves and planning to put some extra cushion/grip on handle bar to reduce wrist pain.
About the extra cushion on the handle bars: They won't help.

If you're not doing it already then sit with the majority of your upper body weight supported by your thighs instead of your wrists.

Do this by gripping the tank with your thighs and loosening your grip on the clip-ons. It'll help tremendously and will also make the bike safer to handle in turns.

About the problem you face in bumps: Again, don't use your wrists to support your body entirely. When the wheels are going through the bump, support your body by standing up slightly on the foot pegs and again your use your legs and not your arms for support.

        .

Thanks for your inputs vkavadia , let me try gripping the tank with thighs,

Problem is seat width is less/ downwards, it is difficult to balance weight on thighs until you sit back.

But more I am riding, learning, making adjustments and feeling comfortable.

Yes, now I am more careful and switch body weight with every pot holes and gloves are helping to reduce wrist pain

I am using all 6 gears and keeping it below 4500 now for first 500 Kms

        • My Aspiration - Biking

It is my pleasure to introduce her to you all. My one and only soul mate to share my passion, Compassion, Love and honor and everything.

This is a right moment to thank my friend Sathish Kumar (satheez_7) who admired and encouraged me to buy a bike-Bajaj Discover 125 in the year 2006.
I become passionate towards motorbikes from then and started to rock the road together at Hosur, Tamilnadu.

Without any reason but with the help of Local bike mechanic I have altered my Discover bike to show myself different from others during my college days.
To be frank it was a funny time as BSc college student with the attitude of style and scene (peter machi…)
Have done many drag and circuit races with my friends like Super Splendor (Vs) Discover 125 (Vs) TVS Victor. (Silly and Serious race…)

After spending 5 great years with my first love Discover 125 I have decided to go for upgrade and obviously with help of my friend Sathish and Xbhp.com YAMAHA R15 V2 has been confirmed for this new year 2012 before Pongal festival.

Because of my enthusiastic nature I booked her in PARAS YAMAHA on 21st Nov 2011 itself following by the phrase “Waiting period One month” from the Showroom executive And surprisingly I got a call from PARAS on 5th Dec 2011 that my soul mate has arrived and waiting for me in the showroom.

As per the tradition and my mom’s willing 7th has been considered as a good day to own her and the happiest moment has begun on that day onwards…..

Aspirations always fetch us the potential to perform as big as universe. She is my Aspiration.

PS: Anybody tried fixing swingarm spools to the new R15. What is the best place to fix them. My idea of fixing was near the edge of the swingarm where the last bolt of the saree guard was fixed. Is this the best possible location or is there any other place we can fix these. Mods please look into it and give me proper advice.

                  • Got my Red hotty on 14th December, almost after 2.5 months of waiting post booking time and 12 months of waiting time post rumors of R15 Version 2.0 ... Lots of follow-ups, experiments, Spying on Dealers, Emotional blackmailing to Dealer, Escalations, etc - I felt it's Worth.

Though I was dying to have her, when shez actually at home m not spending much time with her have done 180kms in just two of Hotty's-Day-Out... Planning a 300kms trip this weekend and would change the Engine-Oil and Air filter. First Experience with the bike was amazing and v distinct, would write the FDR (First Dating Report) soon.. i booked for a black R15 back on Oct 29th.
Delivery expected on January first week.
They quoted on road price of 127k ....is it bit high for bangalore?

Suggest me a sporty/aerodynamic helmet. any particular shops ??!!

Hey Buddy, I got my bike delivery on 14th Dec from Pacer Yamaha at Bangalore.. Yes the bike onroad price is 127k, as some one has already mentioned -the tax are v high at Bangalore. Ninja would cost 3.2Lakh in Bangalore where as in Other states its below or equalant to 3L.

Helmets are something still which I am researching-on and exploring shops at Bangalore. I tried Orion Motors (Opp. to Forum Mall) after reading one online post but the desired helmet was not there however If your budget for Helmet is good, Orion has some good collection of banded helmets above 5k. Also Orion Motors are authorized dealers for other biking gears. Else Shops near Lal-Bagh road, Bangalore are good enough to pick. Just be careful when Choosing a Helmet, always Go for 'DOT' certified logo embossed on Helmet (But Not just the sticker), these are American Standards helmets and such helmets would cost about 5k n above. Unfortunately in India even 'ISI' certification on Helmets are just a sticker which the local manufacturers sticks on helmet before dispatching to stores but they are actually not certified.

My younger bro is big fan of Naked Bikes and m opposite , given the budget 'Duke' would be the first recommendation I would give to my bro if at all hez planning to upgrade from his present Yamaha FZ naked bike... I hope that hint would help!
