Even you can do it, if not ask a local mech to do it.

I wonder you booked it 3 days after the release! You got a nice name of the bike itself. Got in in a month, and still you couldn't ride.. Thats sad bro!
This job and stuff takes everything away..

Thanks a lot i will do.....

So total consumption of fuel before F- flash comes to 12-1.9=10.1L.

You have mentioned that there was no F- flash till you petrol refill. Obviously then the amount of petrol that would be filled up would be <10.1 litres. Where is the anomaly here
Hmm. dude . I covered 20 km's when last point was steady ( not fluctuating ) . I'm asking that , only 0.5 ml petrol or below 0.10 petrol will be consumed for completing 20km's ? Note - When the last point was steady ( and completing 20km;s) , i went for refill full tank petrol , the Bunk meter should have been stopped by 10 liters , but it stopped by 9.70 l .

So i'm asking do my fuel meter reading is wrong or bunk meter reading is wrong ?

Today while , i was noting in my dairy about the expensive spent on my bike , i came to know that something wrong !

When the meter had last point when it showed 400 km's on T-2 . And i covered 20 km's on last point ( But no reserve F- indication appeared ) , then i filled petrol , but the bunk meter stopped @ 9.70 l and thus the fuel was touching the closing knob . I was surprised . The bunk meter should have stopped by 10 l - 10.10 l , and thus i had already covered 20 km's , when last point appeared . ( The last point appeared while the T-2 reading was 385 , and it was fluctuating till 399 km's and it was steady from 400km's on wards )

              Total capacity - 12 l , Last point came - @ 400 km's on T-2 , i had a ride for 20 km's and then filled full tank , According to me the petrol inside the tank should be between 2 l - 1.91 l , Because F - Indication appears @ 1.90 l only . Then how come the bunk meter reading stopped by 9.70 l and Rs.800.25 Paise.

              My doubt -

Do my fuel reading is wrong or the bunk meter reading is wrong
Those fuel indicator bars are never perfect... they are mere approximations of fuel left in bike.... so if single bar is present it doesn't means precisely 2 liters (example.. may differ for your bike) of fuel is in tank.... i also remember one of the senior members mentioning that at low fuel levels these bars show more error as the fuel measurement strip is not constant....
@PSR .. sir can you please guide us...

              • Hi Guys,
It was a dream ride till last evening when the rear tyre got puntured @ 11 pm in the night while returning from office.
My home is around 5 kms away from that cursed place :P. And unfortuanly all the available options near that place to fill the air were closed. So literally had to drag my baby for the 'longest' 5 kms.
I know tyre puncture is a common issue but to a just 3 months old baby is too much
                to bear
Got fixed it today morning from a local mechanic and found out 2 tiny metal pieces were stuck up.
And the experience over there was total mixed, first every passer by was staring at the bike passing really good comments e.g 'iye bike hai ke hawaijahaz hai','iye to DHOOM bike hai' etc .
But then those mechanics(who have never worked on R15, now I am sure about that) started to brag as 'arre iss pe to main stand hi nehi hai','sab to fibre ka hai', 'tyre kitna patla hai, itni choti si metal piece se kabhi punture hota hai kia','pillion seat kitna ucha hai', 'aise patla tyre se village me kaisa chaloge' and many more. I was just keeping control of my anger as i needed that mechaninc to fix it well and moreover didnt find it relevant to argue against a stupid wall in the early morning.

Somehow he has fixed it and hopefully it will work fine and I think I need to be moe careful to avoid gravel/rough stuff on the road.

Just wanted to share the experience to the most experienced guys on Bike, kinda feeling relieved

Don't listen to the roadside mechanic. I have seen they always use to give non-sense comments. When i was planning to buy R15 i was confused between this n P220. Then i tried to ask a roadside mechanic "bhaiya kaun sa accha hai ?" He repiled "R15 bahut kharab hai, engine 1 saal me kharaab ho jayega , mileage bahut kam hai" then i asked about P220 engine he said "uske engine to koi b sahi kar sakta hai". Just because he can not work on a engine he said "engine kharab hai". So buddy never listen to them.

+100000 Has anybody considered that if these guys even had even an iota of knowledge and skill they'd be anything but a roadside mech..?

                          yeah buddy...
actually it was destined for me to learn that lesson the hard way! Otherwise why would that tyre be puntured on close to midnight

Between, it was not a roadside mechanic, it has a proper shop...but who cares.. any time will go to SVC only. Actually the SVC is 10 kms away from where I stay, so kind of had to repair from there itself.

                          Thanks buddy for the reply

                            • Hi all,

My bike's coolant level in the reservoir is at the minimum mark.
I have bought motul coolant to finish off the job by myself.
I have opened the radiator cap and found that the coolant is till the brim. When i tried to fil in it starts overflowing.
Than again snatched the owners manual and found the coolant to be filled in the reservoir cap.
The problem is i could not figure out where the reservoir cap is located?
                              Please help me out guys...

Its located under the left sided carbon fiber look alike. Just remove that piece only and you will know where to fill the coolant...
