  • Completed 600 km's on ODO

    Hello V2 owners

    I have completed 600 km's on ODO . I did a water wash , chain lube and chain clean @ 500 km's .

I did some speed burst while overtaking multi-axle Volvo Buses . I touched 6.2 RPM about 10 times with a pillion . I guess there should be no problem by doing this , right ? My question - Can i rev the bike till 7 k RPM starting from first gear ?

Should not be a problem if you are occasionally touching 6.2. .as manual says after 500kms on odo you can hit till 7rpm.. But i suggest you not to hit that regularly.. its better to wait till first service and then rev

        • Its not maintaining a RPM level, but varying it is what you should do.
Read the owners manual for it..

          • Yeah, I think you might be correct. Need to check with my bank too. Anyways I will be paying 1L cash and rest 34k will be on one year EMI.

but my ultimate suggestion will be go for full payment at once. worry free option
or else pay more downpayment and go for 12 months emi, it will cost u lesser dont forget that dealers give you the options which will make them more money

*worried/scared* Wonder if she'll be normal again.

Went to Bangalore Wheels, Rajajinagar. Saw the might FZ1 there. A must see. If you do go, ask for Dinesh and tell him about 'an xBhpian from Gujarat', he had let me sit and feel her up all over.

P.S.: In Namma Bengaluru after a long time. Feels good. Really good.

@Those who are aware: The spares have arrived. Aura's damaged parts will be replaced and she will be serviced and delivered to my brother (as I am here in B'lore) this friday. Fingers crossed for a better tomorrow.
Good to know that! Enjoy the ride..

When i asked the SVC , those guys says it is normal ( But,i can notice the harshness by means of SOUND and while driving if my RPM needle crosses 2k RPM -2.5 k RPM ( in 2nd and 3rd gear ) there is a chuck chuck chuck noise from the left side part of the engine which is annoying !! My coolant is up to maximum level mark !

I Posted this query in this thread , but no one responded
Do not ride the bike at such low RPMs.. You will feel the load when you accelerate. Ride her post 3 K, and you shall be fine.

Revving wont be a problem, but try increasing the RPMs gradually.
Also, if you rev her to 7K in 1st gear, you'll find it rough..

Try to have a bit of patience.

Nope. Usually when I come to B'lore, I often get people knowing english to ask the route or for some help. But, Yamaha doesnt have an English knowing guy I think. Even when I came to collect parts for my p220, the guy there knew english although he didnt look like one knowing it.
