I simply loved riding it.. Everything is good.. Ive accustomed to the seating position without much hassle but the pain in my forearm/palm/Wrist area is only a big issue.. In my earlier bikes (pulsar and FZS) i added a cushioning to the handlers.. Will doing the same for R15 Rectify my problem? Or Should I ride for more time so that it will take care of itself? Or Should I get a pair of riding gloves?

I feel the problem is because I sit pretty deep(My Back touches the end of the riding seat) and crouch a bit so that my thighs hug the tank(Im 6 feet +).. So all my pressure acts on the handle bars.. I feel maybe that is the reason.. Should i change my seating posture..?
Just saying that you got a new R15 v2 doesnt make me happy. We need to know all the things that you had to go through when you got the bike. And we need pics...! Lots of them...!

And three days from now, your wrist joint pain will be gone. Atleast 50%. Dont bother with extra grips. The stock grip is really comfortable. Play around with your bike for a few days. You will eventually find the best posture in a few days.

    Enjoy your ride and congrats.

I remember you posting a reply that you didnt find any difference in respect to acceleration of V2 in comparison to V1. Now, for this there can be plenty of reasons to why it was so. I am not here to talk about that. But i think there is a definite difference to it. Did you have another chance to test a V2 again? Pls do reply your opinion.

Also, my chance to say thank-you to you. A lot of your post in V1 thread helped me to buy this wonderful machine. Thank you.
Thanks for the kind words! Yes, I agree V2 is what V1 should have been in the first place! Have a look at one of my initial posts back in 2008 about how I felt R15 should have looked like a bigger R125!
W.r.t. the accelaration, I just rode the bike once but felt it was pulling better since there was a pillion on board!
However I still maintain that V1 feels more low slung&sharp!
No point comparing coz V1 is discontinued.
I'm now waiting to ride the CBR150!

Uhmm! Agree. V1 was Low slung and sharp. But too nimble for me. I am really comfortable with V2. And if CBR150 happens to disappoint you, and if you are on the lookout for a new ride. Look nowhere else.

                  • @psycho- A bit of tank vibration after the 1st service. Needs to be fit properly i think. Will be doing that in the coming weekend. Not much of any particular vibes at 4k rpm.

1.How much is your odo reading now..?
2.How much distance covered from last service..?
3.Have you cleaned and lubed, the chain, front and rear sprocket..?

Hope my questions can ring a bell and solve your issue.

@ To all, I am finding a smoother and crispier throttle response in SPEED. Normal unleaded make a bit rough and slightly hard to rev engine nature. Though i know the CR is low enough in R15, and can take unleaded too. It is just a difference i noticed.

Hey buddy... I went on a long ride last weekend and covered about 200kms, the ride was soon after 1st service. I prolonged gear shifts to a few distances and was riding at different rpms in each gear... I do felt vibration in the bike, but I guess its normal and shouldn't be a problem. I ride Ninja too, to be frank R15 has similar raw feeling as Ninja while riding...don't want to call it as a vibration. so-far I have covered abt 800kms on ODO.

I felt the gear is a bit high to shift back from top gear to lower gear.. checked with Yamaha Service center if the height can be adjusted but they said its not possible, so getting used to it...

Regarding fuel its only 'unleaded' which is recommended per manual... not sure abt Speed... however mine is regular at Shell.

                        • Got a sweet deal from a dealer for R-15,Downpayment:Rs.50,000 and EMI:Rs.6500 for 12months. Should I go for it? Or should I just settle for the new White Fazer? Fazer looks bulky..I like fat bikes though! But R-15 is too HOTTTT!!!!
                          Got a few important questions:
What do u guys do for making the bike go on double stand for cleaning purposes? I mean, have u bought a paddock stand or made some desi jugaad?
Can we open the front fairing (for cleaning purposes) with only the tools (Allen key) provided in the tool-kit? I mean, are adequate tools provided with the bike for opening front fairing?
What is the optimum air pressure to be kept? Asking this, because this will be my first bike with tubeless tyres.

                            • how much mileage are we talking about here for R15? If I drive under 4-5k RPM,how much mileage would I get after 2 services? How much could the v1 run for a litre of petrol?

                              • ^^ A friend of mine is getting 50kmpl on his V1 when he's shifting at 4-5k rpm and cruising at the same, don't think it would be anything different on the V2
