I rely on rear brake too much, and my front pad will surely go another 20k kms...

Why dont you get your rear brake connected to the right hand lever? Will be easier for you

I am not happy with the mileage , what it returned yesterday night . I maintained correct air pressure ( 30 psi / 35 psi ) and my chain was lubed @ 500 km's only ! Is there any problem regarding with my fuel injector or what ?

            Please help me guys !
The tire pressure seems to be incorrect.
            Also, try full tank method.

The Fiery Red seems to be LIMITED in real sense then..

            Its absolutely normal...
You will hear this during self check (If engine kill switch is on) and when the engine is running...
Is it continuous? I hear only buzzing sound.

            Questions
            1. I've done a full tank and air pressure (28, 33 psi) as soon as I got it. Can someone explain to me the full tank method for calculating FE? Thanks!
            2. Neutral gear comes on easily when we shift to 2nd and slightly tap it down. However, its not coming on at times when we try to shift slightly up from 1st.
            3. Theres a constant whistling sound from the fairings! (I think this is normal because i read it in the previous pages somewhere, anyways just clarifying again)
            4. Now, this, I'm pissed off about. My bro wanted to ride it and took me out nearby. I was sitting as pillion. We travelled only a couple of kms. After clear instructions not to cross 5k RPM, he did it. He touched 8k RPM once and 7k RPM twice. He accelerated hard. But only for a few seconds. He touched a max. speed of 75 k/hr. Then he was mostly under 5k RPM and less than 50 k/hr.
            ODO: 64 kms.
Welcome to the Baby R club!

            4. Chill.. Just take care now. For a few seconds wouldnt be that harmful.

            Stuck at 120 in ghats.
You even took blind turns that way?

@ abhimanyu31, very true dude . It wasn't very steep, I just wanted to know how much top speed would be lost, but true safety's important...
The thing we need- Cornering is obtained at its best in the class! Please DONOT attempt to try your top speed on ghats!
I know it feels good to say that I climbed at xxx kmph. But, be careful.

I dont remember a time I have ridden below 9K on the highway, unless when I have to!

              • radiator guard for r15 V2

                guys,

do we have anything available in the market (sort of mesh grill) to protect the radiator from stones and pebbles hitting it .

                Comment

                • I believe radiator of R15 is fitted at a sufficient height and inside the delta box frames chest so that small stones coming out of front tyre or any other source wont hit it

but if there is something which can protect it from dust without affecting its functioning and heat dissipation then it would be great

Hey, I believe Yamaha does sell a seat cover/cowl but I believe it is quiet pricey. As far as tank pads are concerned please check out the link in my signature... Good luck!!!

Not sure if this is a rumor or fact but it looks like the white color is soon going to hit the production belt. What you will miss is the 50 year Anniversary logo cause the other difference, the tank pad is available off the shelf. But yet again, I am not sure about this news.

                            • Completed 1100 km's on ODO

Hello guys . I have completed 1100 km's on ODO . But , my service date is on 31 st May 2012 . Should i give my bike for servicing tomorrow or shall i wait till the service date ?

                              Now i'm really satisfied with the mileage . It returned 45 km/liter on highway ( On doubles and speed limit was 80 - 105 km/hr ) . In city it is returning 36 km/liter ( on doubles speed limit 70 - 82 km/hr . it also includes bumper-bumper traffic )

Hopefully saved today from skidding -

Today , While returning back home i was riding on left lane ( only for bikes ) at the speed of 90 km/hr while i was overtaking a private bus that idiotic bus driver tried to overtake a another private ( we were in the middle of that bus front/rear wheel ) he just came full left and i only had the option to get down of the road and that part was full of bumps made of stone and sand . I just reduced the speed upto 48 km/hr an while i tried to get back on the road , it was nearly half feet high but still i overtook that private bus ( Ha ha he slowed down because a Audi just Xing him ) and finally managed to get my bike back to the road .

What i observed today is -

                              1. Great suspension ( though it is stiff ) the pillion din't get lifted from the seat and settled back again )
                              2. The both front/rear tires worked perfectly , thus preventing from loss of handling and skidding

                              3. Do the ground clearance for this bike is HIGH ? After i returned home , i examined the bottom part of the silencer , hopefully it din't get damaged by the the BUMPS .

It is 30 days or 1000 kms whichever is earlier. So get it done ASAP.
