The time when I had the R15, I was fed up of spending 100 bucks just for cleaning and lubricating the chain. So I spent 900bucks at that time (though it was 50-50 shared with my friend as he also had the R15) and we used to clean and lube it on our own. Now even though I have change my ride, I can still use the cleaner and lube with this O-ring as well
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Here in navi mumbai i get it done in every 500kms - 650kms just in Rs 120

I guess it depends on the SVC people. initially even one of the Yamaha SVC use to charge me Rs 1250 for front brake pad. so i changed the SVC and now i get it for just Rs 468, but still when i ask him the price for front Brake pad he says Rs 1250 only

I would really love if Yamaha would have provided a watch on the console and a mileage calculater.
          +1

I went on an 85kms ride yesterday evening towards mahabaleshwar, and am completely blown away by what the bike had to offer!...was doing 70-75 and varying the rpm from 3.5 - 5k in all gears, the engine seemed to be so smooth and no vibes at all (felt like there was no stress on the engine at all)...gave her a 10min break after every 40kms...the radiator fan kicked in a few times but i guess thats normal in run in period...sounds cool though just like a ninja...no wrist or back pain...but the bum went sore...i think the cushion could be softer! ...over all it was AWESOME and a lotta fun!

The bars in the fuel guage are just to show us how much fuel left in the tank and u cannot calculate the litres by the bars.... u ll not get the correct fuel efficiency by caluculating the bars present... Just try reserve to reserve method or full tank method...

PS:by both above methods i get fuel efficiency more than 45+

Hey bro . Reserve to Reserve method means , i should full tank petrol once if the F- Indication appears and to check the fuel efficiency in city , i should completely ride on city and when F - again appears means , i should calculate the km's done/10.10 l ? Am i correct ?

PS- I guess both the methods are same ? You mentioned you got 45 + km/liter ( I guess you must had done solo rides and that too on mixed routes cities/highways , Am i right ? )

              • no need to go fulltank. just fill X litres from F mark and reset the trip. once the F mark showsup again then Tripcount/X.

ok now lemme explain you this once. step by stpe. even after numerous times people telling it you tend to get it wrong. so do this.

                      1. forget abt calculating it now.
                      2. next time when u see the 'F' again, wait til its constant for 1 to 2 kms.
                      3. if it is constant, then fill up the tank for 6 liters. now set the trip meter1 to 'o'.
                      4. the 'F' will be there for 5kms and then vanishes.
                      5. you can ride anywhere and anyhow and with or witout pillion. no issues at all.
                      6. now when the 'F' appears again after certain days, check the kms u have traveled in the Trip meter1.
                      7. kms/liters u filled up = FE. now u will not get the actual FE. its the avg or the approx.
                      do this and get back.

Hey Ron, after i refuel I long press the reset button and the 'F' meter vanishes and is replaced by the odo, this won't result in a miscalculation will it? ...another question is when the 'F' meter comes on...are the kilometers counted in both the trip and the odo meter?

Sri motors ( Ashok nagar ) . Free service means - No wages for labor . If you give your bike for seventh service ( or in between service ) means , they will charge you as paid service ! It means , we have to pay a sum of Rs.350 for labor !

                            • Decent FE

Well i tried the full tank method this time & with still one bar left my bike has run a total of 368kmks so approx 370kmks. Last time it gave 37kmpl but with a lot of ripping, but this time with mostly solo rides & decent riding it has already reached 37kmpl mark. So judging by that i feel it will surely return 40+kmpl this time. I m damn happy. My riding is mostly city + highway mixed. I m happy, cuz looking at the hike in petrol prices made me go in mania but now my bike started to give decent FE , so not much of a problem for me now.Feel sorry for guys in Bangalore cuz they have to pay the highest price for petrol.

Already Ron Syl mentioned abt reserve to reserve method!!

                                Full tank method is:
*Fill up to the neck of the tank
                                *Reset the trip meter
*ride how many Kms you want... say 400kms
*again fill the tank fully and check how many litres does it takes to get it full (eg:10 ltrs)
*divide the Kms/ltrs.. 400/10=40 gives u the exact fuel efficiency

Why i mentioned full tank method is... Its very known that digital fuel guage are not accurate... hence reserve meter comes in too quickly or little late... so i suggest u to try both..

PS- I guess both the methods are same ? You mentioned you got 45 + km/liter ( I guess you must had done solo rides and that too on mixed routes cities/highways , Am i right ? )
I ride solo as well as with pillion.. weekdays fully in city and weekends in highways

At what rpm do you ride ? geek-boy
I ride at 5-6k rpm in city and in highways 80-100kph (constant) & 120's and 130's inbetween..
