Its the normal damping sound of the suspension...Originally posted by Ivin View PostMe too have that sound from front forks from day 1. I showed it at svc, and they said it was normal, and told me to test ride 2 new vehicles, and they too had the same noise ... Is that a unknown problem ..??
Nothing to worry about...

Had been on weekend ride towards Tumkur, National Highway.. The bike was giving 130kms as top speed with full throttle on high windy highway, wasn't going beyond.. and it was just 1800+kms on ODO when I couldn't resist to ride below 7.5rpm (Does this affect the run-in period of 2k??).. Finally the ODO has crossed 2000kms, the run-in recommended by Yamaha..
The Bike is pretty stable, its just I wanted more and more speed.. to catch-up with Ninja's
The bike is Super cool to Cruz at Avg. speed of 120kms/Hr, effortlessly..
Does using Fully Synthetic E-Oil help moving the Top speed beyond 130kms+ in any condition..
Any other recommended tunings to increase the performance..
love to see 140kms+ on Speedo..

going beyond 7500 rpm past 1500 kms would not damage your engine at all...Originally posted by Daytona View PostHad been on weekend ride towards Tumkur, National Highway.. You need not to any tuning to attain 140kmph...
Just do a quick shift from 5th to 6th at 10500rpm and you will easily see 140+...
May be the wind dragged down your top speed to 130.

The run in recommended in the manual is 1000km.Changing the oil will not make difference in top speed. I guess using higher octane petrol like speed 97 mite give you a very little increase in pick and as well as top speed.Am not too sure about this.Experts should confirm.Originally posted by Daytona View PostHad been on weekend ride towards Tumkur, National Highway.. Same is the case with me and IMHO its normal..Originally posted by discover View Postwhenever the bike faces humps it makes some sound (kind of spring sound) i am doubting about shock absorbers..
Congrats and welcome.Originally posted by yatishankar View PostI am a proud owner of a R15, purchased from Orion Blore, it has clocked 1500 kms.First service is completed.
Hey Daytona, the recommended run in is 1000 kms, specified in the manual. Also, crouching can do wonders, try doing that, if not already.Originally posted by Daytona View PostHad been on weekend ride ......Finally the ODO has crossed 2000kms, the run-in recommended by Yamaha..
145 is cool!Originally posted by suraj_vanse View PostI have done 145
I got my first servicing done. Was charged for engine oil, oil filter and coolant topup (470+170+50). Also got the Rx135 center stand (250) plus the shaft (60).
Was given an option to go for Fully Synthetic oil but I opted for the usual SS.
That guy wanted to charge 100Rs for chain cleaning and lubing but then I asked them not to do it, did it myself at home.
Had been to a small ride (140kms) yesterday. It was the first time I was riding in the dark without street lights and was mighty disappointed with the throw of the headlights. Was not even close to being sufficient.
Anyone who can guide me into the world of HIDs and angel eyes as to the mods required, approx costs, vendors, warranty implications?
