    Can any one upload a video of R15 V 2.0 0 - 100 acceleration and Top Speed on YouTube ( those who have mounted CAM ) ? As i searched , i can get the results of R15 V 1.0 only .

And when i again had a ride on my friends bike , i noticed the following things .

    1. If i Rev the bike in standstill , when the RPM needle crosses 5 k RPM , vibrations is created on the sides of the fuel tank , handle bar and Riders Foot rest .

    2. When i tried to shift each gears @ 10 K RPM , vibrations created when it crosses 7 K RPM in ( 1st,2nd and 3 rd ) in Rest of the gears vibrations created @ 9 K RPM and above. ( I can feel the vibrations in the Handle bar and Foot rest )

    3.The engine struggles to Rev when in it crosses 7 k RPM in ( 1st,2nd , 3rd )

Now he have completed 1350 KM on ODO . First service done ( in Vellore ) . Before servicing the Bike Behaved well , but now it struggles .

Note- when he took his bike to the SVC , the service mechanic told him that all bolts and nuts are fixed well and when the service mechanic drove the bike he told him that there is no sign of any vibration . ( I have one doubt - according to me is that vibration or Anything else , i means its feel or ..... ) . May i know is this due to manufacturing Defect in Engine ?

I request you guys to give a solution for these Observation made by me .

    Cheers S.V.Prasad

Revs quickly till 8 K, but yeah a bit of tightness is there!
Also, when suddenly accelerated, it does feel like taking load (starts sounding loud and heavy)
But if revved gradually, its fine.

Seems like many people are having vibration issues in the V2.

Dude , I can help you in Acceleration . This bike has got Long Gear . That means , if you Rev suddenly it will slowly increases ( acceleration will be sluggish ) and when it reaches its Torque range around 7 k RPM it starts Flying and the Speedo Digits will rapidly increases . on the other hand , if you take short and middle geared bikes like Stunner , Unicorn etc , When you suddenly accelerate means it just Blazes off . But those bike will easily attains 80 km/hr and it starts struggling to go more Further speeds .

Simple note - Short / Middle geared bikes are meant for initial pickup , where as Long geared bikes are meant for to achieve TOP SPEED in ease ..

even i get some vibrations, but they are very less. during initial RPMs like around 3 to 4k rmps. i guess its normal in machines which have more power in them. i don find any problems with it. and one more thing i felt was while shifting initial gears like 1st 2nd and 3rd , we have to be smooth on the gears orelse you will feel the gears are not shifting properly, many guys complained of hard gear shifts, i guess they were not shifting properly.

Hey bro the i do agree there will be some vibrations but in my case its a different story. The handle bar feels like a grinder. Hands become numb.Should clean the front sprocket and see.

The Actual prob is my friend rode around 400 kms From Madurai to Mysore at speeds of 80-100 kmph. He came to know that service was not done just today.

What damage would have already been done to the engine? What can he do to avoid further damage?
Hey Manoj. How are you. As far as your friends bike issue. The company sure knows that he has skipped the first service. And its run about 2000km already. In all probability, Yamaha might consider this as voiding of warranty and cause trouble. Its better to approach a known SVC and make sure they understand the problem and service the bike. As far as the engine itself, its better he gets a thorough inspection of the cylinder wall. Also since his head is going to be opened, he might as well get a valve clearance done since his odo is close to 3k, which is recommended. Piston rings will be just fine. Its the cylinder wall that has to be checked. I dont think he may have any problem at all. Worst case scenario, if the cylinder wall is bust, he may have to replace the head and rings.

                              2. When i tried to shift each gears @ 10 K RPM , vibrations created when it crosses 7 K RPM in (1st,2nd and 3 rd) in Rest of the gears vibrations created @ 9 K RPM and above. (I can feel the vibrations in the Handle bar and Foot rest) 150cc 17Ps @ 9k rpm throwing insane digits on the speedo...and you want vibrations free handle bar and footpegs. Again, not even Honda.

3.The engine struggles to Rev when in it crosses 7 k RPM in (1st,2nd ,3rd)
                              Not so in my bike.

Although, the subject of vibrations cant be discussed over forums. Each bike is different. Each engine is different. Compare the NVH of the said bike with another V2. This could bring some clarity in the picture.

Here in Bangladesh it's even costlier. It costs around BDT 450,000 that is around INR 280,000. And, it still is sold like hot cakes.
