  • Thanks for the info..took the bike home..as suggested I checked for the following things
    1.the odo read 7.1km, that's reasonable I guess
2.the bike doesn't have scratches but there is a small blue line below the Yamaha symbol in the front..I think it's a sketch pen mark..probably can be removed by wiping with wet cloth..
3.the oil and brake fluid levels were fine..
4.I didn't notice any twitch in the front forks..not sure about it tough, so will check about it again and let you know..
5.one more thing I noticed is that the rear suspension is really stiff..in my previous experiences riding my friend's r15 it didn't seem so stiff..
But overall I really can't point out anything else for now..I'm very happy with the purchase and really eager to munch those miles ahead!
I will post pictures in the evening on reaching my house..
A big thanks to all the guys here for helping me choose the bike..

Do post the pics!! So what color did you go for?
As for the blue line near the logo.. use motomax cream.. Rub on and then wipe with a dry cloth.. In a couple of tries that line should vanish.
        >>5. take someone pillion with you when going for rides or otherwise also.. it'll soften the suspension over time !
        Ride Safe..

To all those how-to-run-in-the-bike-oh-it's-so-confusing. Here's an advice.
Read and follow the OWNER's Manual. Keep it simple.. Old School technique will do more good than harm your bike

        • I had been to Mapro garden and Pratapgad last weekend. It was one heck of a wet ride after Khambatki Ghat. I had taken my DSLR but it was pouring so bad that I couldnt use it, Early morning types i had my cell phone so used it to click some shots.

I am using the Cramster Tank bag as Tail Bag with use of bungee cords and yellow cloth to avoid it being scratched up.

Yeah there is a problem when you have to sit on the bike, swing your leg over the seat in a different way from side. You cant swing it over the Tail Bag so sideways it is.

          Here are some pics.

Edit- Had been out with my cousins, 4 Bajaj Avengers were there and one R15.
Yeah Iam the odd man out in my family with a R15

            Nice pics man.
How do you keep your bike so clean...I mean I used to clean up every day, but now in rainy season it gets so dirty evertytime I go out. That's why I've stopped that and now cleaning on weekends only.
But only 10 mins of ride makes it a helluva dirty

I encounter the same issue during rainy days, and it goes off as soon as it gets warm. Guess it has something to do with gaps between the headlights.

                              Thank You.

                              --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guys need some advise regarding the running in and the maintenance of the bike -

                              1. Right now I'm following a 'idle for around a min + ride <4000 R.P.M. & 50 Kmph schedule' for running in (bike's run some 70 kms).
                              Is this correct?

                              2. Read posts suggesting an engine oil & oil filter change at around 300-400Kms, is this advisable?

                              3. It's been raining a lot here and each time I come home, I wipe my bike with a dry cloth and then park it.
Anything else I need to do here?

                              4. What products do you recommend for cleaning the bike and detailing it?
