R15 pickup is always awesome above 6000-7000 rpmOriginally posted by chiragsthakur View Post120 in ghat??
I just wanted to know about its pickup

@ abhimanyu31, very true dude
. It wasn't very steep, I just wanted to know how much top speed would be lost, but true safety's important...

Thats what I want to know. What about pickup below 6000rpm i.e from 0 to 6000? Can you compare some bike with it, so that I can understand it clearly. I had taken my friends v2, but as I was with him as pillion I couldnt judge the pickup of this bike

Sadly its very normal below 6000. IMHO, upto 2500 its not very comfortable. but if you shift up around 5000 rpm its not so bad. Overall it is only slightly faster than a Unicorn Dazzler upto 5000rpm. But it revs easily after the runin so getting to higher revs is never an issue.Originally posted by chiragsthakur View PostThats what I want to know. Thanks for your valuable input. So do you think going with V2 is a good decision? Or for more power I should consider Duke? I have just above 2 months for V2 to be delivered. So please let me know.Originally posted by rcazador View PostSadly its very normal below 6000. IMHO, upto 2500 its not very comfortable. but if you shift up around 5000 rpm its not so bad. What you say is true on normal roads, but on ghat sections I couldn't feel all that much of a difference. Still each person's perception of speed is different, and its not like the Dazzler is terribly slow, with 14 bhp and weighing in @ 136kg dry.Originally posted by Ron Syl View Postsorry but i differ on this one. the fun starts from 4K rpm till 8k Rpm. tats where the R15 really shows itself. and yes the higher revs i agree.

I myself changed the rear disc pad just now, and my god, its one hell of a job if you does not have a main stand or a paddock one. I needed two other friends' help to put back the rear wheel.. It was so easy on my p220
The disc pad costed Rs.690, got it at a discount for Rs.600. The cover had Thai Yamaha Motor Limited all over it. I think its international quality . Well done Yamaha !!Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..
