What exactly happens in our R15's engine at 7000 rpm, how do we get that surge? In turbo engines, the spooling of the turbo allows more charge inside, thus giving a proper kick. But in this naturally aspirated engine, how is the surge obtained?Same with the CBR 150 post 8000rpm..How?

Have you specifically asked for a center stand? If not, ask them what this is for. Not sure about the INS service charge.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostRs 850 for Accessories.

As far as I know there is nothing that comes with R15 as accessories. I have the split up with me and when I asked for accessories, they said it doesn't come with anything that needs to be fitted before handing it over to the owner. Everything is factory fitted, I mean nothing like tank bag, saree guard, silencer guard(yes, that's an accessory too in HMC), mirrors etc. that needs to be fitted to the baby ONE.
Ask them the distribution again to check what each field is, else try some other showroom and compare the pricing. It costs 125,628 in Hyderabad mate. In Nagpur, it should definitely be 1-1.5K less(my guess, not official figures).Regards,
Akash Yadav
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

they are ripping your pocket. first of all the stock R15 out of the showroom has no center stand, it has to be fitted at the ASC with that 800Rs. i was not charged for any accessories when i got the bike. go to some other dealer. and the manual clearly says about the things that come with the bike.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostNope, they themselves dnt know that the main stand comes for R15, they said it will be charged to you, which includes Leg guard, and their is no Leg guard in it according to me, Bullshit!
FYI the tyre hugger with the extra fittings on the side, the mirrors, numberplate and the holder, the tool kit, first aid kit, manuals are considered as EXTRA things which come with the bike while u take it from the showroom. and the cost of those will be included in the showroom price itself. please go to another dealer, ask him the onroad price and the breakup of it. and one more thing 'make sure you sound like you know what you are talking about'
if they come to know that you dont know things they you are taken for a ride

Set of noob questions
1. Average Tyre Life span ? Anyone has gone for rear Pirelli ? reviews ?
2. Again, anyone has upgraded the battery to 5 Amp or has any clue ? Cost, Feasibility ?
3. Average Sproket Life and yes, cost ?
4. After a last offroad trip including high revs at ghats has left the ride behaving like a bullet <lot of momentum, doesn't stop
>
- At first i felt the ride height has decreased, thought there is a pucture but wasn't any.
- Maneuvering ability has gone down drastically
- Stability has gone down drastically.
As my ride has completed 15K, my initial thoughts are that fork oil, bearings change, shocker overhauling might resolve this and general 12K changes as given in Yamaha booklet might improve the condition, but i am not too sure and want some pointers before i take it to SVC. Because guys there are just, well ....Ride On,
Akshat
