    • A small problem

      Hey v2 brothers,

Ive been having a small problem since i bought my bike, say while going at a steady speed of 40 km/h if i let go of the handlebar, the bike goes to the right, when i try to balance it, it goes to the left, and keeps doing the left - right - left thing till it slows down. It was handed to me on the 5th of this month and so far I have done 700 kms.

Im suspecting something to do with the rim weights, i dont see any of them on the wheels, is that the problem?

Also, I wanted to know if its ok replacing both bulbs or the right one with 55watt ones from philips, would the battery face issues such as draining after a whole night ride? I do night rides very often for long distances, so please advice whether to switch both lamps to 55w or just the right one to 55w based on whether the battery can keep up or not..

      Thanks in advance,
      Arun

i dont think so bro. sit correctly, sometimes it happens that you would have put more weight on either of the legs. i highly doubt something wrong in the bike. if you want to be very sure then SVC is always there.

hey Ron Syl.....that one side lit in low beam is a tradition in all superbikes having twin headlights....... though not for a single eyed monster like vrf1200f

                • Error !

Hello Guys I checked my mileage by full tank method . I filled full tank for the second time on last Tuesday ( 3 days back) and at present i have completed 490 km's on ODO . Today while , i was noting in my dairy about the expensive spent on my bike , i came to know that something wrong !

When the meter had last point when it showed 400 km's on T-2 . And i covered 20 km's on last point ( But no reserve F- indication appeared ) , then i filled petrol , but the bunk meter stopped @ 9.70 l and thus the fuel was touching the closing knob . I was surprised . The bunk meter should have stopped by 10 l - 10.10 l , and thus i had already covered 20 km's , when last point appeared . ( The last point appeared while the T-2 reading was 385 , and it was fluctuating till 399 km's and it was steady from 400km's on wards )

                  Total capacity - 12 l , Last point came - @ 400 km's on T-2 , i had a ride for 20 km's and then filled full tank , According to me the petrol inside the tank should be between 2 l - 1.91 l , Because F - Indication appears @ 1.90 l only . Then how come the bunk meter reading stopped by 9.70 l and Rs.800.25 Paise.

                  My doubt -

Do my fuel reading is wrong or the bunk meter reading is wrong

I am looking for a PLug and Play full system exhaust. So was thinking of Leo vince Cobra style full exhaust ..But was reading a lot of posts of joels exhaust kit .. so having my second thoughts....

Sure .. This is just the initial process have a lot to study before i go ahead with any mod .. I used to have a Conical K&N in my old cbz which i really enjoyed and i still miss . So just thought of the same .. But lets see .

                        @all .
This is just my initial thoughts as the bike is fairly new .. still need a lot of help frm the pros here before even touchin the engine for any mod internally..The stock bike is also a cracker of a machine ..

If the sound is coming from the front fork then its normal.

As you said bike is going right-left-right, then i don't think there is any problem. If the alignment will be wrong then bike will go in only one direction while leaving the handlebar. Anyways if you are not comfortable go to SVC.

Im suspecting something to do with the rim weights, i dont see any of them on the wheels, is that the problem?
if the rim weight was not present from the first day then no problem.

i don't think 55w bulb will give the best output with 35w ballast. Not so sure.

Joel has 2 types of ECU for R15 . One is tuned for all R15's , the second is different for different bikes. But you will have to get your bike to him for the second one...

The F- indicator will come on when the bike hits reserve (1.9L).
So total consumption of fuel before F- flash comes to 12-1.9=10.1L.

You have mentioned that there was no F- flash till you petrol refill. Obviously then the amount of petrol that would be filled up would be <10.1 litres. Where is the anomaly here
