New bike, you will feel a bit of vibrations. Headlamps is an issue.

Hope you didn't sustain high RPMs is for a long time, as you were still in run-in..
Rightly said yaar . the roads were really a bliss... and very very tempting .. But was damn carefull had very short bursts to all the way upto 7k for a short time and back to 5. cudnt resist . But was mostly on between 5-6 k rpm .i think post 700 kms that should not be an issue ... Surprisingly post service vibrations have gone less .. He has also done some beam adjustment to the headlights .. The headlights have improved but still nt upto the mark.. will change them soon .. But wondering what to replace them with. m not too sure is osram night breakers are really good or shd i go for philips .. Confused as always
Wanna make one more long trip . Planing for nashik lets see. Sula wines .. .

yep thats the largest bike cover available... got that from pudupet a few months back... Dude I heard from one shopkeeper that we can custom stitch bike covers based on our requirements... It is done in some shops at pudupet...try your luck there

      • Naah.. Something not right buddy!

I could go 120+ easily and take some awesome turns, leaning her with a pillion..

Try gradual acceleration, and shift at higher revs..

There you go.. I think i have to shift gears at higher rpm compared to what i m doing now.. I will definitely try and let you guys know about it..

            Hello's

My 50 th anniversary logo and tail logo got stolen by some one . Rest of the logos are there .

What can i do now ?

            1. While peeling of the 50 th anniversary logo , they had torn the red sticker also . So i'm planning to recover the red sticker with New RED sticker . Can i do this ?

And by the way , they won't feel guilty by doing these kind of jobs ? Since the bike is not even registered yet , how can they overcome to perform these job ?

            Venue - Perungalathur , Paris Hall .

I just parked my bike besides my friend Fazer ( His tail logo also got stolen ) . After we attending the reception , i was shocked and got Dizziness

            Good News -

            Completed 485 km's on ODO . Should i change Oil + Oil filter @ 500 km's ? I'm planning to go for semi synthetic 20w40 or 20w50 ( correct me if i'm wrong )

            Doubt -
In my place , salty water is only available . For washing my bike , can i mix '4' Spoons of Surf excel and after finishing washing , can i use VISTA spray for shininess ? Can any one tell me , what type of lube can be used for lubing the chain and i'm planning to fix Yamaha center stand , which costs around 1500 bucks , can i go for that ?

Logo n sticker - Of course you can get these fixed! Should not be heavy on the pocket too. N dude, no one will verify whether the bike is registered or not before stealing the logo

Oil change - Discussed to death already. The manual does not require you to. Many experts suggest you to. I did change at 400 kms. Your call.

For washing your bike, use a good car shampoo. I dont know about VISTA spray, good to use wax polish for the shine.
For chain lubing - you have lots of options. The most proven being Motul. I am using Tribocor.
Center stand for 1500 bucks?? Who told you this? Search for a post from abhisheksircar, he has mentioned part wise cost to get center stand installed. Total comes to ~ 900 bucks.
If you are looking for a temporary stand to clean, lubricate chain, adjust slackness, etc., you can buy a Rx135 center stand with the shaft, costs ~350. Search for a post from suraj_vanse for more details on this.

Yes , all experts suggested . But the Service mechanic asked me to change oil @ 500 km's ( His Reason was - Before Revving the engine to 7.5 k RPM , it is better to change the oil , so that the engine will be smoother and it easily get Revs ) Anyways , no don't want to start argument here .

                Thanks for your inputs.

Your service mechanic is suggesting in line with most of the others here! (I am not going into the reasoning)..But do not forget to change your oil filter too when you change the oil @ 500 kms..

@all, to day i was taking a small u turn {not cornering}, was in second gear, while turning i shifted to first gera and left the clutch and when i accelerated to my surprise the bike was in neutral and lost ba\lance because of loss of power to the acceleration, now i did not fall but the bike was about to fall to the right so kept it down n lifted it up. guys this neutral gear problem is been there from the first service, whenever i come to standstill and try to go to 1st from 2nd gear, it gets stuck to neutral :@ its very dangerous sometimes on the road. any suggestions on this?

It happens to me too, but after 2500 Kms, it doesn't happen that much.... one thing I have noticed is whenever i shift from 1st to 2nd without pushing too hard at the gear lever, it goes into neutral...

                      • It happens quite often for me...I have the same LE model.

If you are saying, this is due to bumper- bumper traffic, avoid stressing the engine!
Again checked the full tank method the average is ~37kmpl.
Its completely city driving, no highway cruising. Completed 380kms on the ODO. Due for 1st service on 16th May. Might complete 500kms till then.

I have a question to you guys. I m not considering installing HID's as it is very expensive for me right now, so planning to go for 55W lights. So any suggestions which one would be better. And do i need to upgrade my battery to do so?

Make sure you depress the clutch lever fully till it touches the handle bar and then try shifting. This will definitely make some difference.
