      I have completed 210 km's on ODO .. Checked the mileage , i'm getting 35 km/liter ( with pillion from day 1 ) '3' points vanished while it showed 210 km on Trip - 1 . The rides included 140 km city rides ( bumper - bumper traffic ) and 70 km's highway ride . Petrol filled - Shell Super unleaded ( Shell bunk @ Chrompet )

        • Hi Guys,

Just today bought R15 V2 Black Color from Ambal Motors Chennai ...They delivered within 1 week ...

I got the Toolkit and First Aid kit with bike , but in the Owners manual it has been said that a Sponge will be there in the Rear Seat ..but i didnt have anything like that ? ?? Did u guys get it ?

After taking Bike from the Showroom , i went to a Petrol Bunk and Filled 10 Litres of PEtrol and Filled the Tank for the First time .. 50 Kms rided today ..

Guys tell me , what should i do from now .. In the Owners manual it has been said to use only Unleaded Petrol .. Is Extra Premium recommended ?

Tomo i am gonna buy a cover for the bike and this week will do the Registration ...mostly a Fancy Number .. So , any ideas and Suggestion on Fancy Numbers ???????

Is a Tank Pad necessary ? What about Teflon Coating , when should i do it , many say to do it in the first service ...

Also plz say what Engine Oil i should use When servicing , will the Service guy he himself will select a oil and put it or should we insist to put a recommended oil ? Plz let me know which oil is recommended ???

I will post the pics tomo guys .....

              • My first 320 kms ride with the beast ....

                Hi guys ,,,
With 740 kms done on the odo .. i Left hme at 5:30am early tuesday morning for my much awaited trip in the past week .( as this is one of my second bike trip overall ).. All i had the chance of riding the bike was to work without knowing how the beast would perform in the open stretch ... So selected an early morning time.. when there would be less Traffic on the Highway .. .... Destination was Dahanu a small town ahead of palghar at the NH8 highway close to 160 kms from my house at chembur.. We were a total of 3 bikes .. 2 pulsar 200 and 1 R15 .. .. Got up early morning packed up my riding gear ..
1> My Military edition LS2 Helmet.
                2> Scoyco hand Gloves
3> A lot of drinking water to keep us cool in the heat ..
Left Chembur with a frnd of mine as a pillon .. We had our first halt at THE FOUNTAIN near Mira-Bhayender this was our Meeting point .... Reached there by 6:15 am .. Everyone catch up there and were all set for a ride to rule the streets During our wait saw a blak ninja which brought a smile to the face just was thinking that we would see some sbks on our trip ahead sadly there were none .. Left fountain by 6:45 ... Crossed the first bridge leading to the open highway and my eyes were wide open seeing the clean open stretch highway and i cud feel the end of my lips touching stretching all the way till my ears ( Since i gt the bike never could feel the bike on a long open stretch highway.) I shd say the bike was awesome in the way it pulls away ... with almost 800 kms on the odo .. the hand on the throttle kept pulling all the way down with a contant rpm on 7000 ... and at arnd 100 km/h for abt 10 kms guess .. Had a small tea break at the highway which was refreshing for abt 15 mins. Hoped on the bike again for a non stop ride till dahanu . The bike was butter smooth on the highway .. Which made me push the bike all the way .. But all i cudnt do was at a traffic patch where my frnds on the 220 cud maneuver themselves between the trucks and cars i was a bit skeptical .. The road leading to dahanu from the highway had some patches here i felt the bike was gng all around the place and also started to feel some vibration in the palms. Reachd dahanu by arnd 8:45am and rolled straight into the beach . took a nice break ... gt our selves some breakfast and back to the waters again .. had a nice afternoon nap at a frnds plc. And started our trip back . We left at arnd 5:30 .. As the sun started to set and it went dark we started to ride more carefully and avoided puhing to the limits since the ride back was non stop ... But in a way it was good as i started to learn the bike more... Things i felt was (-ves) in the bike . Reached fountain at around 7:30 .. Took a nice break at a nearby hotels were we loosened up . And headed our journey back home again at 8:30 and was back home buy 9:45 ...
Things i noticed during the ride :-
Let me start with the Negetives :-
1> I could feel a lot a vibrations on my was back home with speeds close to 90 - 100 ..
2> the headlights were completely useless . May be it requires some setting or i need to change the bulb .. If anyone facing the same issue please advice wat u did ?
3> The seats were very hard and were uncomfortable at times.
                Now the Positives :-
1> The bike pulls away like an rocket in hand ..
2> I loved the riding position on the open stretch .. ( personal preference .. Even i complained on the riding position when i bought the bike at first .. May be cause of the city riding conditions . but on the highway its fun )
3> The all famous handling was spot on .. And made me love the bike again and again.
4> The brakes spot on dead ..very crisp ..
Things which i get to master in :-
Getting the bike ahead in high speed traffic.. Cause there were time when i used to break stay behind a car and gradually skip the traffic. which made me slow in the highway .
ATo sum it up it was a great mini trip ... This was my first with the beast .. hope to have a lot sooner and get to know the bike more and more.
Man this was a long write up .. hope u guys enjoyed .. .. XBHP has helped me in selecting a bike which is fun and i thank all u guys for it .. Now i have even started writing up things which i am not that great at ..
                Thank you guys ,
                Cheers ,
                Have fun

                      • Had fun with cops

Last night i came from job arnd 12.Since morning my baby was alone standing outside my house so i thaught to have some quality time with her
I ate dinner arnd 12.30 am and was rdy to take her for a ride.
I was riding near maitri park, golf club and diamond garden near chembur when i got bored and thaught of goin to vashi and coming back !
Mind you guys my baby is not registered yet !!
I passed panjra-pole and 100m before anushakti bridge near Deonar i sensed some traffic ...the very next moment i was sure that its a random check post put up by cops to catch drunkers(as it was a sat night )
I was slowly riding behind a truck and was trying to hide but saala ek pandu was standing on the divider also.
He saw my no. plate and found tht it was a TC no. and he waved his hand to stop me(like they say THAMBA THAMBA :P)
The best part was i had kept all the bike documents and wallet(including license) in my bag and i had left my bag at home coz i didnt had any plans to take her out of chembur.

So now i was riding a bike without no. plate ,without helmet , without license , without documents and most of all with no MONEY in my pocket to pay the fine.
There were like 8-10 cops standing on the left side and all of them were busy checking cars n trucks and stoppin bikers without helmet but i didnt had any intention to stop as i didnt had anything with me and if , in case , i would have stopped i would have to pay a hefty fine for sure
So i decided to break the check post and run and i did that.
To my surprise the pandu standing on the right took his bike n chased me on his caliber.
Not to mention my bike was in Run-in period
Now wht i did is i dropped the plan of going to vashi as it had a toll naka and immediately took a u-turn beneath the bridge.
Just looked once behind and he was very far and zip zap zoom , reached home , didnt look back agn , parked my bike behind my car and directly went off to sleep

Guys i know this is weird and i was being very irresponsible riding like that without HELMET,no NUMBER PLATE and DOCUMENTS but i'm really sorry for that.
I am sorry for my baby too bcoz i rode her beyond 70 km/hr in run-in and the rpm meter i checked once was btween 5k-6k.
                        Apologies for that...
But hell it was a lot of fun
Cant explain the feeling when u win against a cop :P

PS:Could a 5 min ride beyond 5k rpm will cause any effect in run-in period to the engine?

You have won nothing other than adding one more bad opinion about bikers in the hearts & minds of not just the authorities but also the non biking public that must have witness this kangaroo show.

Riding & driving are a privilege and not a right as you seem to assume. You have not only recklessly been endangering your life but also of other people on the road. I dont want to give any excuses and i very well know that i'm totally wrong over here. This kind of stuff is not excepted

But all the things which happened , happened for the first time and over a matter of couple of mins so i didnt had any other option left.

I come from a strict family where in if my dad/mom gets to know i'm caught things would hv been worst.

I'm taking this as a lesson and i advice people over here not to be foolish creature like me and ALWAYS wear a HELMET , Ride safe and carry your License/Papers.
I did a mistake and I will learn from it but I hope you guys will understand my emotion !
