Ok, Projectors or HID's can go as a separate units either or as a combination. For Ex. Pulsar 220 has projectors & has 55W H7 Halogen bulb as Stock. When someone decides to plonk in an HID, they can go in for the H7 HID Conversion kit available in Various brands that comes along with Digital Ballast, Igniter & Wiring Harness that can be installed easily. So, one gets Projectors as well as HID's.

So, What matters here is the Bulb Type & whether someone needs projectors or not for their HID's. Btw. It's Illegal to go anything above 6000k Temperature & also Illegal to use HID's without projectors. (Although no one cares, just a piece of info)

P.S. Sorry for the Crappy explanation, I'm very bad at it.

You can have HIDs or projectors or both... You can buy projectors and install halogen bulbs in them if you want... If you install HIDs, it is always recommended to install projectors, to direct the beam in a manner, so as not to blind on coming traffic... It might even be illegal to have HIDs without projectors... Try installing hid projectors with angel eyes... They look fab...

      • ^^Thanks dual disc and psych0hans, I stand corrected. Does that mean projectors with stock bulb would not have extra strain on the battery? psych0hans - The projectors on your N250R looks awesome.

Technically HID's consume less power than the conventional Halogens so ideally the R15 battery should be doing well, but to my Horror when we did a group Saddlesore in 5 R15's that had low beam HID's everyone's battery went dry for no obvious reason. Somewhere the discharge rate was higher than the normal charging rate. with the new V2.0, one must take a risk & let others know.

The start up of the HID will consume more power till it settles down to the kelvin rating.(pls Correct me if am wrong ). And for projectors with angel lights one will definitely need to upgrade the battery to 5 amps.
Well i have been using HID on just one beam for the past 3 months and no battery problem so far(touch wood ).

                            • Regarding battery

Actually friends the problem is when cruising at higher speed the high beem also doesn't seems to work & sometimes i end hitting some pot holes, so this is my concern, i thought may be installing HID with projectors could help. So anyone who could put some light on this.

your problem can b solved just by installing the HID 4300k(correct me if i am wrong) only.
And suraj_vanse can help you for this.
