sorry i have no idea. since i have not tried it i dont wanna advise anything. but any kind of change to the stock bike will attract good and bad things. have a good check and do it.Originally posted by himanshunegi1987 View PostThanx brother. Not many people reply when i ask question about K&N. Radiator fins was just a query i had. Would appreciate if you can answer this also. Do i go for a replacement of teh stock filter with K&N (this has actually screwed my CBZ-X, so a little scared and thus looking for inputs from exp people) or put in K&N RC-1060/1100 in font of the air pipe with the stock system intact .. that means K&N in front of the air intake pipe, on top stock air filter and on top of that air box. I don`t want any performance gain, just the lovely sound.
Any help ?'On the Road that never ends...'

How will putting the K&N air filter in front of the air intake pipe increase the air flow? Am sorry if i was not clear , let me try again. I wish to add K&N filter inside the air box, under the stock filter, in front of the black pipe. The stock filter and the top black color cover would still be there. Am just adding K&N in to the stock air intake assembly.Originally posted by Vikroo View PostDon't use Universal filters like rc1060 it allows more air inside and r15 doesn't have an O2 sensor so fi cannot figure out how much air is coming so it will make the mixture lean. And if you are connecting infront of intake pipe it will allow even more air and mixture will be more lean. It will give you the lovely sound but will most probably ruin your engine in the longrun.

Sorry I misunderstood your post I thought you were fixing it by removing airbox sorry. I didn't used it in R15 but in my ZMA when I used it(rc1060) inside the airbox with cover it only made a very very little difference in sound. I have read some where that conical filter is not recommended for R15. I will try to post the link. It is better to use stock replacement airfilter. But I don't know what kind of sound it will make. K&N and Simota have these stock replacement filter.Originally posted by himanshunegi1987 View PostHow will putting the K&N air filter in front of the air intake pipe increase the air flow? Anyway from what I know I won't recommend unversal filters like rc1060.
If you want the K&N roar with your stock filter you can modify airbox cover by drilling holes on it. May be it will become dirty easily. And airflow will be less compared to RC1060 so there wont be a chance of mixture getting lean. Correct me if Iam wrong.Last edited by Vikroo; 02-21-2013, 05:21 PM.

I haven't had the need to top up oil during 2.5 - 3 K usual oil change period, yet. Same should be the case for FS. Yammy don't have oil eating problems.Originally posted by incipient View PostHow often do you need to top up the oil? is the oil consumption more with motul 300v?
is there any tangible improvement in the engine performance with the 300v when ridden hard?
this "racing bearing handle kit", where exactly is it on the bike? Can you give some more details?
BTW, Nice click!
No as such performance boost, ride feels smoother.
I tried to explain about the location of part as possible in my post, the piece of black metal that holds the fork and is the sole point of contact with the chassis.
Here you go, am lazy about typing.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View Post@Nastrofaction - please provide costing and billing information along with parts changed.

On starting my R15-v2, today morning found that the started button is not instantaneous as it supposed to be.
After pressing the starter button, the starter motor fires only after 1-2 secs delay.
But the moment starter motor fires, engine comes to life in no time and this seems to be absolutely fine. ( Guess no probs with starter motor)
Then is my starter relay has become weak?
What could be the cause of the delay?
