Sorry for that post, just having some time off at work.

No dude, the disk pad level will be seen on top of the caliper unit window, that steel plate. Or else take it to the SVC, they will pressure wash or diagnose the problem, no need to remove the wheel.
he meant 1150 kms on the odo

Ya man, Pak gaya office main, Friday eve aur kya expect karega.

Btw I might put FS - 300V this time. Looks quite promising. Will check out Petronas and Mobil for features and reviews till then.

With 1150km on odo the chance of a worn out brake pad is unlikely. You can check the pad wear by looking for a groove on the pad. Its like a wear limit indicator, if there is no groove it shows the pad needs changing.
Do a high pressure wash like eshan said. And if sound doesn't go away remove the pads and rub its surface with sandpaper and put it back.

I have been a spectator to this thread for almost a month now and have gone through each of the queries/replies . I have gotten a detailed PDI given somewhere in this thread forgive my memory dont remeber who had posted it but I am grateful to them. However, anything else I need to keep in mind? This is going to be my first bike. I had previously owned a second hand p150 2003 model. Learnt bike riding on that bike.
              Can someone help me out??

What exactly do you want to know buddy ?
About Ganesh Yamaha: I've heard couple of reviews...not so great, not that bad either. BTW, it doesn't matter either. so chill
About PDI: As you've got the list already, there is nothing more to check.

P.S. Please get the Bike's manual while taking the bike, many people didn't get that on time and were facing issues about run-in and so on.

                Best wishes and welcome aboard

Dude should i lift that steel plate to see the grooves??? what i can see without lifting the steel plates is just the pads touching the disks... Somewhat thick but where are the grooves that indicate wear?? Any pics?

See the steel holding the pads. wen they are closer to each other, your pads are due for change.
