There is no bolt in the part you circled. Probably it's got worn out and is loose. Change the shift rod and you will be good to go
Glad I can be of some help to somebody. No need to owe me anything this forum originally was for this specific purpose rather than non sense stuffs.[emoji1] [emoji1]

During second service mechanic tightened bit more and after running with some pillion it gave some weird noises at particular rpm around 5k on the odo in 3,4,5,6 gears. I am not sure whether mech screwed up the bearing inside the gear box or chain is causing this hulling noise.

It just a washer and cotter pin.
Engine oil is not at all suitable for external applications. Neither is thin gear oil used in bikes or cars.
Gearbox bearing? Whoa slow down buddy[emoji1] . It's not that fragile. I think probably there is some uneven expansion that happened due to improper tightening that's leading to this sound.

Too tight chain can cause noise and will wear out the sprockets. Also, sometimes, uneven tension in the chain can cause noise and jerky performance. [MENTION=11406]vijaycool[/MENTION]

        Ride safe and have fun.

So when we change the new sprocket kit the sound may vanish. I may need to wait atleast 20-30K

Why not take the bike to a mechanic and get it checked.

What I have learnt from my experience is once you misadjust the chain it stretches unevenly and the sound it makes can't be made to go away completely. No mechanic can make it go away. You can adjust it properly but the sound will come back after a couple of kms.
Just ignore it and ride around it.

Yamaha silently launched new color schemes for r15 v2 & r15s, so there are very minimum chances to launch r15 v3.
I booked the revving blue but they provide new blue. Probably the 3rd color scheme which r15 launched on 2012 era.Click image for larger version

Bike surely would have performed good, but how did you considering the roads

Yeah this one is best pic of me with my bike
The roads not here just stones placed here ... Bike performed good but the fan was running too frequently as you really can't ride in 2nd gear and bike getting hot quickly..
Considering the suspension of R15V2 it's a kamar Tod ride .. but I loved every bit [emoji7] [emoji1]

                            Envy you man..

Ya, the engine does get hot when riding in lower gears for long in the hills.

For testing purpose, I have replaced rear brake line with my custom made SS braided line. Though the stopping distance is same but the brake feel is improved. Now I feel front brakes are vague. More customization to follow.

                              • Strange whirling sound coming from R15 V2

Hello everybody, I hope you all are doing fine.
Recently Im facing one issue with my 3yr old r15 v2 which has clocked 30000kms.
Im getting to hear a strange whirling sound from the engine area.
Im a little bit worried about it since I service my bike at regular intervals and always keep sure to have enough fuel in my bike. Im attaching a link for the sound clip depicting the sound. It would be very helpful if you could help me identify the source of this sound so that I may get it rectified. The link is:
Clyp is the easiest way to record, upload and share audio.
