give it sometime to settle down. if you really feel something wrong with engine then then go ahead and give it to the SVC. and as teejayy and eshan said, weight and wind also matters. me and teejayy do numerous drags when we went for highway rides to see the difference of weight effecting the top end, and yes teejayy coudldnt touch me. :P and also will take longer time for him to reach the top end. i can hit 100 on the 4th gear, and would do around 93 on 3rd gear at 10k rpm, 108kmph at 4th gear @10k rpm. have a proof of it on gopro cam tooo

the headlights with O shape the one with black visor looks like R1. what is that O shape headlight. what can it cost to me with 4300K. the complete system?

I guess theres a projector inside and some sticker job done on the headlighr glass with a o shape in the middle around the projector. If im not wrong. :P

In the ownership thread, i am posting a query.
I have been riding the V2 for the last 8 months, Odo has clocked around 5k kms( i know its less compared to the months).

I am sick and tired with the service provided by Orion and Bangalore wheels and also MSp moto world. There is a problem with the front suspension which i want to rectify permanently but i am not getting the perfect mechanic for this.

So all of you R15 riders in Blore- please help a fellow rider with the best service station in Bangalore for Yamaha R15.

Distance is not an issue for me.

Guys......I actually booked a cbr 150R...But Still cant Give up R15......Wats The Avg Mileage you People Get???? And Many Say Tat R15's Mileage Drops Too much after some years or clocking over 20k on odo and the Bike Becomes weak....( I mean both in terms of performance and bodyparts and develops many problems) Is it True???? My main concern are mileage and rev free engine (Vibe free).... Ill go for it if i get 35+ in city riding and 40 in highways.....bcz many said cbr 150 R delivers tat and it has a butter smooth engine........Wat abt R15 ????? Any one plz help

Congrats on your purchase of CBR 150R, its an awesome machine out there.
About the mileage I guess on top of this thread there is a poll conducted, the figures are shown there, feel free to check that.
About mileage dropping well that happens on every machine, it also depends on how you ride and maintain it, expect power drop on your newly booked CBR too, after all its a machine and after some years its performance will surely drop. Body parts again, now if I store the bike for 20yrs and dont remove it, trust me it will be like new, but where does it head? ofcourse every bike goes through this, even a Honda Dio for that matter.

The questions you are asking are perfectly valid and prove that this is your first bike, I suggest take some time out in knowing both the bikes since you might have come to this point of owning a R15 or a CBR. You must understand that both the bikes are powerful and can deliver exceptional performance.

The R15 is a tried and tested product, it has history here in the Indian Market, the CBR is a new product. So if you are willing to take the risk on depending something new then go ahead, cz its your choice, but do some research. This is an ownership thread, feel free to plonk questions that come in your mind.

The logic between both the bikes ie - R15 and CBR is that the CBR is 0.7 or 1 second faster than the R15 and my question to you is that where are you going to use that 0.7 or 1 second of speed? So investing in a new product that is costly and has that 1 second edge does not make sense, that's why the R15 which has a tradition. But all this goes waste if you dreamt of the CBR, everyone has a choice...Appreciate that.

Expect every machine to have a drop in mileage and power after some years, be it even a Fireblade or even a R1.

EDIT- Butter smooth engine? Dude even a tractor which has chunky wheels and is driven on fields has butter smooth engine!!! Dude every bike out there is smooth, it is catered that way. I think this question does not stand valid.

I am hearing this for the first time. I keep checking the V1 ownership thread and dont find many 'problems' getting reported, it is more of maintenance.

Ok. Since its festival time and they are all closed, i have to go on Thursday.
After the front suspension problem since yesterday after i tightened the clutch cable a bit, the throttle cable is giving problems. I am not able to go beyond 100 kmph. Will check again closely in NICE rd today night.
Abhishek- if possible can we take a ride in NICE rd next saturday morning?
