My main concern are mileage and rev free engine (Vibe free).... Ill go for it if i get 35+ in city riding and 40 in highways.....bcz many said cbr 150 R delivers tat and it has a butter smooth engine........Wat abt R15 ????? Any one plz help
As you said, if mileage and rev free engine are your main concerns. Honda should be the one for you.
Its not that r15 mileage is low, but yes, its better in honda.
Typical honda engine for that rev free feel. Again r15 is good, but yes, honda edges out a bit on that front.

But both are performance machines, mileage i think should not be a criteria. You don't spend this much money to buy a motorbike if you are mileage minded.

But you are surely going to miss the kill switch and pass flip and ofcourse the awsome cornering ability and not to forget the super sticky tyres.
and did i say about the eye grabbing looks, no i didn't. Yes, it looks awsome.

On a lighter note, You don't ask if a north korean product is better to south korean people.

I whack the r1x5 everytime i take it out, shifting at 9 rpm and that has been the way for last 15K Km and still never the average has gone below 32 for me and nor for my v1 friends who have clocked above 30K Km.
Members who drive in a sane manner have reported mileage in upwards of 40 as well. You can check the poll on this page.

As far as comfort is concerned, I cross through gruesome traffic conditions almost everyday on way to office. and no, riding hasn't caused me any fatigues.
Its as good as p180 i had or infact better. Take a TR and feel it for yourself. Its more of a individual thing.

P.S : Avoid sms language, forum restricts it.

Heyy bro! Even i was in the same confusion as you are once upon a time. But that confusion didnt last for long before i test drove both the bikes. I always had r15 in mind but stil took a TD of cbr150r and that made it clear that r15 was the right machine for me. Ill tell you why:1. R15 no doubt has the best looks in its class. And i guess we universally agree to that! 2. It is a rev free and rev loving engine but it doesnt lack the fun in lower rpms like the cbr 150r does! Thanks to the remapped ecu on the v2.3. Both of them have a vibe free engine. So you wont be disappointed with either of them in this matter! 4. The switch console qaulity, engine kill switch, pass light, aluminium swing arm, the better suspension at lower price compared to the cbr 150r gives the r15 an edge over the cbr 150r. Period.5. According to a comparison between the two machines by autocar, r15 returns better mileage on the highway compared to cbr 150r.In the end its your choice buddy. It all depends on your liking. Good luck and hope you make a right choice. :-)

The max rev u can make on R15 is 10.5k, after that ECU gets hold of it. and i hope that is more than enough.
CBR will look less attractive and road presence after few months but R15 will always look sbk in its life.
              Yes Yamaha!

              • Guys, I got a new R15 V2 last friday ... Can i have some Do's and Dont's for the engine break in? I have already done 400 kms .. and out of that, 200kms on ring road going constantly at 55 -60 in 6th.. is this proper or shud i increase my revs till 5 or 6 k rpm? and what will happen if i travel constantly at 55-60? will this affect the top end later? or maybe acceleration? Help me out !

                thanks!

Dont always keep the engine at constant speeds during run-in. Differ it at intervals. Ride at different rpms. You can rev her till 7.5k till it reaches 1000 on the odo. Pls read the owners guide.
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

                  • R15 tires are nail magnet. Carrying 7 punctures already in the rear tire.

I have ordered - Buy Online Tubeless Tyre Puncture Repair Kit. Shop from tradus.com ELA0000004788317 . will be picking up those additional strips from the city. Will be keeping this in the rear seat, enough space is there for this kit.

I plan to order Buy Online Car Tyre Pressure Gauge. Shop from tradus.com ELAMBF662748YRBD. The best part is that its analog, Digital might run out of batteries. Lets see how the first order comes, then will go ahead with this one.

I'm trying tradus for the first time so ordered that Puncture Repair kit only. Will keep you updated guys.

(Dafffaq, chicken roll money went in the puncture)

Hmm, Tradus, I hope you went through this. TRADUS.IN Reviews, TRADUS.IN Online Shopping, Shopping Site, Information, Frauds, Security - MouthShut.com
Why didn't you tried slime, and with seven punctures, tyre life would degrade.

In words of the local puncture repair guy, 'yeh tyre ubad khabad raste ke liye nahi hai, sadak ke beech main chalao'.

Seems cheap, if it works out for you. I'll also order i guess.

Well, this is the cheapest option available, had been to the city to know the prices and the least quoted was Rs250.

I read the reviews so just ordered for Rs130, lets see how does that order go. There are negative reviews about every site out there, so no point in checking them.

With these many punctures the tyre will keep loosing little bit air and keep on picking more punctures... one of the solution might be to use Slime.. available at YFS wakedewadi for around 300 Rs.... i know you have ordered air pressure checking gauge but lets be practical you cant check air everyday and with these many punctures air keeps on leaking...
Had a similar experience on PSD and had to change it just after 6K kms... So give a try to slime or change the tyre...
