    You wont feel any kick in the powerband except a slight one at and above 7000 RPM. It is due to the fact that this engine focusses on linear power delivery.What you get is a thick spread of power which builds progressively without scaring the pants off you.This engine is also employed [with a smaller bore] on the R125, where it is a learner friendly bike.

      Doing good bro. Here too the svc are offering the tank pad for 1k and have only one in stock. I have already brought one for Rs4xx but the charge of 1k is ridiculous. And another thing is, there are guys who are ready to pay that kind of amount ..

        IMO, it depends on the usage. This is more of a average life span. and i say change both at once.
        Yamaha SVC goes for SS for SBK's, weird but true.

        I also tried the philips of the same type. and luckily went on a night ride yesterday on NH4.
        Results : Its definitely better. Much better than stock. Touched 140 umpteen times thanks to better visibility.

        @all. Since last offroad trip. Ride wasn't the butter smooth it used to be.
        Something in handling just didn't felt right. The front seemed to be loose and not in control.
        The mechs couldn't tell anything wrong and am very sure something is just not right.

        Went for full greasing of all the bearing, fork oil change. Even got all the screws tightened but that feel is still missing.
        Have to get tyre changed soon, probably then would try some other things. Not happy.

          Need help regarding upgrade of headlamp for stock R15 V2...


          The stock headlamp holder for R15-V2 is HS1 PX43t.
          I plan upgrading Left HeadLamp alone to 55/60W H4 (Since no 55/60W available for HS1).


          I am sure I will not face battery drain, cos I rev her high ( always more than 7500 rpm) and till date I always used only long beam (means 35 + 35 =70W) and no issues with battery.


          My worry is whether the reflector will be capable enough to hold the heat emitted by 60W in place of 35W?

              The highlighted bold caught my eye. You touched 140s with just a replacement of headlamps during night and that too on a highway? Holy Cow!!! That's some dare-devil attempt mate. :O

                err, you are getting sentimental.
                Its not just the headlamp replacement, its not the first time am on night ride on highway at high revs and not the first time i touched those speeds.
                Just, things were better. More visibility. More confidence.

                    Im happy to select this brand, Yup, modifications from Yamaha are out, increase power to 12,000Rpm and many more. Complete track package, Daytona has now stuff for the V2.0.

                    The best part, all of it comes in warranty, so need to rely on some mechs and brands. This is Yamaha Licensed Brand.

                      I guess these were out from many months. one of the guys at YRC bangalore already got it yet to see and test it out, he had gone to kari motor track on sat n sun to test it out. will let you know more about it once i check it. FYI he said "22Bhp bump in power" {i mean total power output of 22bhp.}

                        They have been there, they have a race ready r15 v2 LE at Wakdewadi<Pune> for display and sale.
                        Like the upgrade but skeptical from touring point of view. Someone said, stick to stock.

                        If anytime in future v2 becames my second bike, then may be.

                          V2.0 had some complications in Free Flow and Shorter accelerator cable, along with rear disc brake cylinder. The reason being swingarm being different than the V1. This is rectified now, so thought of sharing.

                          Does CBR has any upgrades like this? just wanna know, please dont start a war. :P

                              Nothing from Honda's stable to the best of what I know. Joel has come up with his set of tweaks and aftermarket exhaust though.
                              I have lot of apprehensions to go for such kits which give a mere 5-6 bhp boost; but then thats me. Now dont tell me that 5 bhp is almost 30% of the existing 17bhp, such a minor increase, to me, is very difficult to notice and justify for the price tag. Again, strictly my opinion.

                                Same here, the risk involved is also huge. Daytona kits which are factory approved by Yamaha for our bikes I thought Honda might have a brand like that available here in India. About Joel, lets keep this thread clean, also warranty is void and other issues are present.

                                Time to save now, will see what can be squished in my bday wishlist 1month 12days left.
