Its Ron Syl actually. i got confused when you said 'style'.

LOL i dont know what you mean by "senior". if referring to age then i am definitely not :P

True, i learned every bit of thing from here from the time i started with riding bikes. my first being Yamaha FZs. got hooked to it when i rode my friends FZ16. got it way back in feb 2011. had first fall just 2 months after getting it. learnt the importance of riding gears too. got myself a DSG nero, gloves and a good helmet too. after having fun with it sold it in dec 2011. that time i was crazy behind r15 V2, so got it in feb 2012. loved it everytime i rode. i didnt waste time in small things about the bike like sound, this n that. i just enjoyed it. then came a turning point where i saw post by Abhi sircar, for a ride. then started a new chapter. in april had my first ever ride of more then 100kms in a day. did around 300kms total , exhausted! for the first time i rode so much. loved the ride. thanks to the guys in YRC like abhi (abhishek sircar), Teejayy, rayhan(nullphobia), sachIn(royal designer) for helping me out with knowing things about bike. after completing about 5.3k on odo my bike was stolen in aug 2nd! was heart broken, disgusted, angry! and what not. from that day til 15th nov i had no bike, was riding my activa. guys form yrc gave their bike to me for rides if they were missing it. will never forget that gesture of them. got a 2nd had V2 LE on 15th nov. went straight to goa after a week on it. my first ever longest ride! covered around 1.7k kms. the 3rd best ride after the (1) yelagiri and (2) ooty rides with yrc. the bike has been through various roads, situations... an accident too, minor. right now i am on 5.3 kms on odo again. wanna munch more miles now.

somethings i wanna tell here is, especially to new owners, that we know its your first r15 or first bike or new bike. loads of excitement, questions, eagerness also come along with it too. i have followed almost every page here form the start. the common things that are asked are "runnin in" "engine oil", and apart from that its the sound they hear here and there and what not! i wanna tell that dont waste your time doing these unimportant thing, dont waste the initial time with your bike finding out flaws. instead enjoy it every time you ride. respect the ride. try to know your limits and dont exceed it.
lately i have been losing interest little here due to some posts or "stupid questions", even eshan, teejayy, abhi will agree with me. i appeal that let good and healthy discussion take place here and not any crap about some minor thing or unwanted things.

lastly get yourselves good riding gears. just they way the bike gets damaged after a fall, even you will. so better be prepared then be sorry later.

The Bike is an engineering marvel. Learn and improve your riding skills. I can very well say that most of the riders here have improved their riding skills after hands on this babe. It inculcates confidence. every time I swing a leg n thumb that starter, my excitement increases with the rising RPM meter.
Follow the manual. whatever is given in it. The end result (after running in and first service) will be worth the patience you showed during 1000Kms. I'm happy with the way my babe performs. I'd like to tell you all one thing when I went to buy this bike : I had a P180 prior to owning the baby. Had it for a good 5 years. Was looking for a change to either CBR250 or a Ninja. Every single day I read the reviews the comparo and stuff. My search just hit a spot when I found this babe. At first glance though I didnt quite like it the raised tail section but that very evening for the first time I saw this bike(in flesh) in a rally organized by the YFS. 15 sunset red's were following a black rider and that was the moment I made up my mind to get her. Gathered up the finances and became the happy owner of R15.
Keep Calm and Kaam se Kaam

To all those how-to-run-in-the-bike-oh-it's-so-confusing. Here's an advice.
Read and follow the OWNER's Manual. Keep it simple.. Old School technique will do more good than harm your bike

Same here man. I had a ZMA earlier and had booked a CBR250R. I happened to ride a new V2.0 which a friend just bought. It was so much fun to ride! Took a proper test ride and was sold on it and thats how I got mine.
Yes, stick to the manual. The SVCs themselves would discourge you from performing certain maintenance activities mentioned in the manual saying that unless there is a problem it should not be touched. But why should we wait for a problem to arise? Insist on maintaining your vehicle as suggested in the manual.

Getting back on topic. I enquired with two SVC s here in Bangalore - Sprint Yamaha and Orion Motors. Both quote the chain + sprocket set to be around 3k.
The Rolon chain set comes with X ring seal. I read online but am not able to conclude whether we should stick to the current O ring or whether X ring would be better. Any light on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So a pulsar visor screws are direct match to the R15 too? interesting. Btw for how much did you buy the Bajaj screw? hope its not costly as Yamaha.

I think ill head over the weekend for these screws, lots of vibrations from front visor.

I believe they are direct fit for R15 too. Do you only need screws and not bushes(rubber thing with metal threads inside, its fixed on bike) ?

If you have that bush still on the bike buy only screws from bajaj, otherwise buy screws and it's bushes, note; the bushes were loose so I glued them on the fairing(nothing complicated).

Wont cost you more than 3bucks for the screw(1p) and 1 or 2 bucks for the bush(1p)

Spot on, Ron. Sometimes anxiety and paranoia about the bike gets better hold of us and we cease to enjoy our bike.
