Juntal and Partaap thanx for reminding, I posted the figure that i told at home. (Rs 2000 for bank processing charges that were paid upfront)

Yeah the bike is from YFS Pune. It was cheaper by Rs 700 to Rs 800 than Suvarnarekha and Monarch. Had inquired that time for discounts.

My bike registration is of June 2012.

C Edition costs costlier than your bike, freaks.

              1) Dont lug the engine at all
              2) When you follow step no 1 it means ride in the required gear but dont go over 4,000rpm.

Eg- You can only access gear no 1,2 and 3 - Stay in those gears only but dont go over 4,000rpm in the respective gear. Since traffic is present i dont think you will require 4th gear, in case you do then dont go over 4,000rpm. Downshift when required, let the bike be controlled in prescribed rpm limits, short busts to 6,000 rpms are okay. May be once in a day but not always.

Ride as you normally would in any other condition. Just dont exceed 5k RPM. loading up the engine on high gear low rpm will do harm only. Never do it.
Do Not deviate from whatever is given in the manual. regarding maintainence as well as most importantly run-in period.

                Cheers!!

Great choice! :P I seriously doubt any of the new colors look good. Except for Raring Red. But still don't wanna judge before seeing them in person. But 50th Anniversary LE is the best choice! Congrats! Do post pics, bro!

                            • I need help

                              Hello Guys ,

I clocked 6000 km's on ODO and gave my bike for 3 rd service . They did
                              1. Oil change
                              2. Chain clean & lube
                              3. Coolant top up

The bill amount was Rs.768 ..

They should replace Air / oil filter , right ? Secondly , I used to shift gears @ 7 k RPM and maintain speeds between 80 - 105 km/hr on city roads and I'm getting only 32 km/liter . Any problem with my bike ? When I saw the Mileage poll so many have voted 35-40 km/liter and @ IVIN In his Earlier post said he mentioned he got 55 km/liter on highway , if is it possible please tell me how to get so that I can improve the FE of my bike ! On the hole I'm not satisfied with the FE of my Bike So Please help me out !!

Its Dagrex produced by Daytona distributed by Yamaha themselves exclusively for the Yamaha R15 and Yamaha FZ 16. Performance has increased , I cannot tell how much exactly, but there's definitely an improvement. Costs 10k. No you cannot install it on a ZMR like it is. You will have to modify the bend. But still since this one is tuned for an R15 , you cannot make the most of it on your bike.

Clean the air filter. Replace at 12k kms or the respective service.
Shift at under 4k rpm in city and maintain a speed of 70km/hr without varying much (might need to vary speeds at city) and you will surely get above 35kmpl or say above 40kmpl. When hitting highway, shift at 4k rpm as in city and always maintain somewhat like 70 or 80kmph and you should get above 50kmpl. I am getting it anyway.
