Guys.... i got some serious problem..Please Reply.. Is R15 Forks Too weak for Indian Roads?? Suddenly today My Bade started Making a squeaking sound when i turn it from left to Right...Its coming from The Handlebar and i feel My Byk sways Slightly Left or Right when i Ride it... I didnt go over any potholes or speed breakers at high speed..Just go over it at very slow speeds...Whats the problem??? Why My new Babe is Giving so much of problems?? Also i dint Find any fork Bends or any damage to forks....

Still am not getting time to got to SVC...Didnt Fix the disc problem yet

I have a question. The bike isnt going above 125kph in severe cold atmosphere even after shifting gears at 8k rpm with no crosswinds. Why can this happen? Anyone from Mumbai/Navi Mumbai owning R15v2, please ride my bike and let me know whether theres something wrong in my bike. I am really bothered about this knocking issue. I am not sure whether I should term this as knocking.

I didn't like Honda CBR's color schemes but compared to these, they look quite good.
Limited edition with blue might have looked good.

Stop over-analyzing everything. The squeaking sound is coming because your bike is new, the springs are getting adjusted to the pressure developed by compression. Check correct air pressure (front - 28, rear-33). Have you dropped your bike before? That will be the contributing reason for it to one side. Thanx Chirag. Get the oil replaced, if it has been replaced in the previous servicing then check the level and color, it should be slightly transparent. Never ever shift at 8k early morning at least for some 3-5kms. Early morning the engine is cold and it takes time for lubrication to heat up and provide its effects. Go slow first, get the bike heated up, even the tires for that matter. Once you have warmed up the engine then have revs over 6k. Thanx Sushrut. Nah its okay to sticker the lid. Yeah that blood group is during rides and other travelling, good to use if something happens (touchwood). Parameters involved before selecting a helmet
1) Check for the comfort inside the helmet. Your jaw should be pressurized from both the sides.
2) The helmet should move instantly when you shook your head, it should be like your underwear that tight. The reason being, it should not move due to shock created after hitting tarmac, if that happens expect your head to twist and turn in all direction resulting in cracking your neck.
3) Feel the helmet, tell the store you wish to sit on the bike and feel it, rotate your neck and check for freedom of movement. Crossing the road on the other side is the best test to know the helmet is comfortably fitting.
4) Go for clear visors, my personal choice but then as per your needs too.
5) Check for certification provided - ISI, DOT, SNELL, ECE, NBR
6) There should be no gaps between your cheek and cheekpads, it should be tight.
&) Go for good graphics which would make you visible in night or day time.

Can i get the size from that sol size table(measure my head in inch/cm with tape n order it according to the table size) which they show in their site? Plz help me?Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Second, eshan is right. sitting position will affect the ride. also check the forks, see if any crack, oil leak is there. the sound you telling is common, its the wires rubbing against each other. Thought its better to tell it there then PM.

if at all you feel its little lose and not very much, buy a tiny cap thats given with helmets. it will make the helmet fit properly. its ok if its very little tight, but not too tight.

Yesterday a pulsor 220 with all riding gears and a nice helmet came across me at wardha road which is very nice with littile traffic and i was on my way from college to room,
we were beside each other and he was accelerating the bike as if he is standing for "Go".
he asked me to have a race, i thought to declined the challenge, but as my baby is new and did with first service, though this is the time when i want to feel myself proud.
i was little scared first coz he seems to be an professional rider and i was without my riding gears, even not with helmet.

I said yes,
i went to 10k rpm on first gear, and so on with all 9k rpm.
their was not a time when he touched me.
he was a nice rider as i can hear boom sound which comes from exhaust of pulsor 220."Silver silencer"
we did 4.5 to 5km race, finaly i have to move left to my home, and he went with raising his hand claiming a nice race.
i went till 135kmh.
Loved the race.
Sry guys as i was without gears.
i know that is for me and sry wont work.
But racing against some one can be dangerous because Indian streets are full of idiots and same goes to innocent stray animals.
You will come across many P220/NS200/CBR 250 owners who will see R15 and they will start racing with you. But learn to ignore!!
I am not against speed but speed up when you feel it's safe and with yourself not with some rider just because he challenging or you need to prove something!! Mostly rider meets with an accident only when he is racing with some one or riding insane!! Self rider in calm mind never taste tarmac.
And that too you are racing without helmet?? There is no point proving who wins etc!!
No one can say when and how what can turn out!!

Hi Everyone,
I want to purchase a new bike in the month of February. My budget is around 1 lakhs but yeah I can extend it till 1.4 lakhs somehow.
I have been following the 200NS and R15v2’s thread from quite a while now. Earlier I was in the mood to purchase P200NS but after reading the user reviews and the N number of problems associated with the bike, I thought of going for R15.
However, I have some queries & I will be thankful to you all if you could clarify the same:
1. Whats with the problem associated with the front forks? What is the solution for it??
2. Is there a color fading issue around the tank region??
3. Will the maintenance cost increase by a huge margin after 2 years?
4. Is there a mileage drop after a year or two??
5. After these crappy 2013 color launch( no offence, I didn't like it personally), will the 2012 colors like sunset red and all be still available?

2. I've never faced any colour fading issues till now( only 10 months old)
3. It should increase for obvious reasons buddy. R15 V2 is not even 2 years old, so better ask this in V1 thread for authentic answer.
4. Mine is 10 months old and ODO reads 16.5K kms. No mileage drop yet.
5. Well, I too don't like those colours
. But there are very rare chances that Yamaha will be making all the old and new colours. You can get till the stock lasts.
