Daytona exhaust is not worth it in my opinion. Bike becomes very top end oriented and the exhaust is too loud. Also the mileage drop is high. If you are looking only for exhaust(no ecu etc), then I'd suggest you LeoVince or Joel's one. I am also switching to either one of these after run-in period.
Cost of Leo Vince stainless steel one is around 16k.

thanks for the advice bro but in my area i only have an option of getting daytona cause no performance upgrades are done by any of shops, i mean no such thing available here except yamaha itself so can you tell me more about daytona.

I also see a certain 'jugaad' on the rear. A saddle bag holder, stand, what is it?
NO jugaad mate, its a simple bungee cord attached to the cramster bag, using it as a tail bag because I dont wish to scrub the tank as the magnet loops have been worn out (Magnet to tank direct contact). So tied it up behind, if you see a cramster tank bag has those special loops for bungee cords too, it shouldnt scratch the panel so using that yellow cloth, quite big, it doesnt move at excessive speeds too.

If you really want to go for Daytona, go for the whole engine kit which includes ECU and cams as well. The cost of engine kit is 31k+tax. See the videos of daytona exhaust on youtube and check if you are okay with the sound. Performance gains will definitely be there.

            • chassis bend!!

Went to the yamaha SVC, here in noida sec - 10, for scheduled service they told me that the bike needs chassis and shocker alignment.

I can understand shocker alignment, its not that a big deal it can happen but chassis alignment!!!!!

The bike did fell day before yesterday but that was at about 7-8 kph, i dont think that would bend the chassis

              need help guys

If you have mentioned it(the crash) to the SVC,then they may be be trying to milk you.
Go to another Yamaha SVC get the claims verified.

+1 - that service center is not good, also, when you get oil changed verify that they put the right oil, they were going to put mineral oil in someone's bike and when the owner protested, they said it doesn't make much difference... but after some time they got the right oil delivered and put it. so keep an eye on what they are doing to your bike...

i didn't tell them about the crash, the guy took it for a test ride and came back and told me that the bike needs chassis and shocker alignment.

i then compared the bike(later in the evening) with a new r15 standing there, there were some noticeable differences, the left rear footpeg was touching against the chain cover(when fully compressed), while in the case of the new bike it wasn't.

so i decided to go for the alignment, because if the chassis was actually bent then it would've eaten up my swing arm and that's worth 11k

                            Its covered under insurance,btw.

Terrible idea to switch to mineral oil now. Unless engine wear is still not done switch to fully synthetic.
