haha dont worry about that for me, i almost always ride between 5000-8500 RPM (and occasionally even higher in 5th and 6th gears), which is pretty much the opposite side of lugging

and i often do hard accelerations, in most of my rides anyway, so i guess my chains are never going to last as long as you guys but thats alright for me.

also, (@ black asp) good to know that taking some links out is not the way to go with the R15 chains...

Hello my friends, my V1 is about to get an oil change soon. I would like to know about Motul 300v factory line 15w 50 fully synthetic engine oil. My bike has crossed 40k Kms and can I use it? How many Kms it can run and do I have to change the Oil filter also??

Hello Faz,
If you have searched this forum with reviews of 300v there are alot of them present .
Also there is a universal thread for engine oil so you can check there as well .
I found a useful review see below

It takes at least 2-3 days for people to reply to your queries..nobody is sitting online to pamper anyone.. And you can always go back few pages to check answer to your query if it's urgent..
You can try motul 7100 20w50, best engine oil for R15 IMO.. drain interval of 3500-4000 kms. Easily

Relax guys, I think the guy got the message.
D.j Are you sure the Motul chart is a original, new one?
Because Duke 350 is actually marketed as 390, plus it doesn't use 20W50. It uses 7100 10W50 as recommended by KTM itself.

Secondly, if you guys dare to use the 300v anyhow, please make sure you adhere to the instructions given by Motul, specially how long it lasts.... If it says its meant for 1000 kms (for example), then replace it after 800-1000 kms.

A good practice is to use mineral oils in the run in, starting and synthetic oils towards the mid life of the engine...

Hey, who asked a spoonfeed? I have been noticing that my posts are neglected and I thought you all being here for a long time and became known each other and as I am new.i had an offer to get the said product for half the price from Amazon and that's why I rushed. It is just a mis understanding I understand and okay if said so why do you have to get this much pressure?? You really need to check your blood pressure soon as possible since you are getting tempted alot and even you didn't tried solving my problem so keep your bum calm down and don't try to teach.

Damn.. After 4th service the bike has got vibrations. Its more prominent now @ 10k kms. The vibrations from handle bar, both foot rest increases with rpm. Useless svc. As the bike crossed 10k mark I am thinking of switching to Shell Rimula R4 HDEO oil for the next 1000kms. Hope this will clean the engine. All these days I was using only gear oil for the chain. But for the last 500km, I have used chain lube. This could also be a reason for vibration. Any other reasons for the engine vibration.

how often have u been changing oils. if its according to the manual and good quality oil is used then i dont think the engine needs any flushing after 10k kms. HDEO or no HDEO it wont make a big change in your case. Try going back to gear oil and fasten all the allen bolts.

Not finalised anything. Don't know pros or cons of that size. The fact is that roads have been destroyed by monsoons and its all almost ofroad. Thats why i was thinking about 120 section tyres like ceat button type ones. Thanks for your interest black asp

why dont u try using 200 ns eurogrip tyres of the same size. They will be better than the stock revz-s and will be better in broken roads afaik

It happened to me when I shifted to chain lube from gear oil ..trust me for our harsh environment gear oil is better , chain lube don't even last 200km. .
