My bike stopped and did not start as I used kill switch to stop at the signal, it started after 5 min by reapeted pressing self start button on half clutch ( not a battery problem) as I can use horn and no engine malfunction light came. then I took my bike to the service center at kukatpally (Hyderabad) he examined an said that relay swith is gone so I had to replace it. It cost 110 rupees .by bike is 8 months old 7k.

              Hi all...
My rear tyre is completely worn out and due for change. I'm bit confused to choose stock mrf , or Michelin street sports and Pirelli sport demon . Please suggest best...
Also What is the paid service cost for v2.0 in Chennai.

Hey guys how much play should be there in the clutch.as like the lever to be soft and close to the bars but the guy at the svc told me to have as little play as possible to get better performance is it true?

thats correct. 10 - 15 mm max play. that roughly 1 to 1 and a half cm play.

Excessive play will not depress the clutch fully and will lead to early wear and tear of clutch plates.

just stay between 10 15 mm and even gear shifts will be smoother. lever close to grip will appear to be smoother and softer as the travel is less and less effert will be required, but thats just an illusion and wrong practice, in the long run its will lead to costly maintenance

No, it won't. I have it on my bike and it's far from any hindrance.

                            Hello All,

I've got a v2.0.. i hv 23k odd on the oddo.. until now i was behaving like a saint with it.. bt now the time has come to experiment with it..

First of all.. r15 is not any normal bike where the tuning can be done by turning some knobs by a mechanic called "Raju" or "Imran".. that said its fairly a easy bike to understand as well.. bcus after every service the bike works beautifully for the next 3k.. and exactly after 3k the bike starts to give u hint that it needs a service.. and i hv done what my bike asked for.

Recently after 21k i got the following things changed,

                            1. Tyres (lasted a bit longer than usual bcus as i mentioned i had used it like a saint)
                            2. Clutch Cable,
                            3. Acc Cable,
                            4. Brake Pads, (front and rear),
                            5. Oil (Obviously),

Now i am facing some new issues..

                            1. Monumental chain slapping..

I was riding with my cousin.. i suddenly heard and felt that my bike was vibrating unusually and there was a huge noise coming from somewhere.. i did my experiments and narrowed it down to chain..

so we were going down Aagumbe ghat and trust me i haven't done more gentle throttling ever in my life.. bcus if i go off the throttle i feared that the chain would come off the teeth's that's how loud the slapping noise was (and it really was that loose).. so i somehow go down the ghat and found a tyre puncture shop got the tools from him and fixed it with the help of my cousin..

and the issue is still there even after fixing it twice.. so i guess the chain needs to be replaced bcus the length is uneven now.. i noticed that while setting it today..

so here are few of the things i want to know..

                            1. I need to replace my chain but i don want to go for the stock one.. i want to get a teeth extra on the rear spraw kit.. so where can i get it made in bangalore? i guess the front is ok bt the rear needs to be changed.. that will giv me bttr pick and power delivery..

                            2. any website which wil tel me about my r15 chain configuration?

                            3. I hear a lot of ECU setup.. bt how much r dey reliable.. cuz i think ill change it (sometime in future not now) bt need to keep an eye on it.

                            4. if the ECU is changed will it affect engine performance as i guess some relative parts may need to be changed as well..

so please let me know if there is any way i get a new set of chain kit..

                            Thanks all..

i buy my r15 products from indiaspares... get them genuine and i dont have to go to service center and listen to crap that they dont have it.

As for the change in ecu, yes it will change ur performance.. i woudnt recommend it until ur pro with that stuff.
