Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Dont know about others but my bike sounded like an auto rickshaw and there was terrible low oil and vibration issues with 300v when I used it a couple of years back. Been using motul 3100/shell ax7 for the last 60k kms ( I usually throw oil at around 1800-2000kms) and happy. Will never ever touch the 300v again.Originally posted by incipient View PostI've been using 300V since the past two services. There's a marked difference b/w 300V and the Yamalube in terms of riding experience and i haven't found any mention of this so far. The engine is a lot more vibey with the 300v. The vibes start from as low as 6k RPM. Even the sound is different - the engine sounds dry, mechanical when revved. Though past 9k RPM it actually feels like its running smoother. I bought it because i thought it would be better for the engine in the long run and i don't mind the extra cost. I have been debating whether to continue using it, but now i think i am better off using Yamalube and changing at shorter intervals (2-2.2k km is where its at for me)

Try this...Originally posted by chothibai View PostAnyone on this?
Below 5k you will find only cheap ones of poor quality which will spoil your bike performance. Instead go for used branded ones like daytona, Leo Vince or race concepts in olx or quikr.
My suggestion is save little more money and buy new race concepts or Leovince go corsa exhaust systems. Its always better to sweat than to bleed. Wear helmet.

Try bachoo motors for Leo Vince they are authorized distributors. For race concepts try to contact them through phone. I bought Leo voice gp corsa last year from bachoo motors only. And I haven't seen any seller for Yoshimura system in India .Its always better to sweat than to bleed. Wear helmet.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Its 10w40 which works perfect for me. never used it above 1800 kms but there was no drop in levels compared to 300v where it dropped about 220-250 ml within 2000 kms had to open up the head and do a compression test fearing either the valve seals or the rings have gone adios but they were fine . This happened when the bike was 22 k kms old. But have seen many guys using 300v without any issuesOriginally posted by siddharthsure View PostLooks like Many are having problems with 300v. Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
I own r15 v2 2014 model.
Bike feels less stressed in top end compared to stock and improved low end.
But if you are planning to fit ffe for 2014 and later version Make sure that you buy ffe which will direct fit for your bike model.
' cause I face little complications due to change in position of mounts in engine block( addition of O2 sensor from 2014 2FB1 model and later versions ). So I ve done some alterations like cutting some under fairing and engine cowl panel. I"ve attached photos for your ref.Its always better to sweat than to bleed. Wear helmet.

Re: R15 V2.0 Stalling
Originally posted by Azone Shagrath Mongar View PostI am having some trouble with my 3 years old Yamaha YZF R15 V2.0. I have also taken my bike to the local Yamaha Dealership/Service Center. However, they could not pinpoint the problem. Therefore, I am seeking for some opinion/insight from your end. Below goes the symptoms I face with my bike:
a. Bike stalls while accelerating, pulling in the clutch..no matter if i downshift at the same time or not.
b. This happens mostly in case of high speed runs, if i pull in the clutch and release the throttle totally, the RPM drops from say,7000 RPM to 1.5K for a sec and then drops to zero, stalling the engine.
c. After the engine has stalled, if I release the clutch while the bike is still rolling, the engine fires up again with a slight jerk.
d. While slowing down, if i keep the throttle a bit open and pull-in the clutch, the engine keeps running.
e. In neutral the bike idles fine at around 1300-1600 RPM
f.This problem mainly occurs during the first 10-15 minutes of riding. After that it somehow disappears or occurs much less frequently.
Could you please point-out some factors that might cause this trouble, which will help me to solve this through the help of the mechnics.
urgent feedback needed....please \m/
checked the fuel injectors? ask svc to clean them.
