    RADIATOR THEFT.

Hi. Some f***** b******* has stolen my bike's radiator yesterday night. I literally don't know what to do. When I see the bike with its fairing panels by its side. I was shocked to hell. And when I removed the bike cover I find the radiator was missing and some one took fairing fastners aa well. I have insured w with iffco tokio . Can ab by one guide me how to process claim . And how much will it cost to get a new radiator assembly and fastners for whole fairing except the bottom engine cowl .

There is nothing much that you can do but get a new radiator installed. One thing is for sure, it is someone who did a throughout recce of your place and your habits before striking the night in question. It was not as if he picked your bike on random.

As for your insurance claim, you will need to file a police complaint of the theft as proof for the claim.

By the way, is your bike parked on the street? If so, it is now a juicy target for more parts by the people in question as they have succeeded this time.

Definitely someone must have noticed my routine.. I used to park it inside my apartment only . But no security guards. 😢

Is there is any security alert device for two wheelers available ? I saw a device which works along with smart phone GPS in some Facebook page... Do any know about that?

          5. The clutch seems to be softer than usual and sometimes gives a feeling that it'll break, is it the way it is supposed to be or is it hard..?? Also clutch free play seems more than prescribed but i'll rectified it from owner's manual.

          Thank You
I have the answer for some of your questions.

          1) I guess 7k rpm on stock sprocket is around 100kmph? There will definitely be some vibrations, that's what you get from a 150cc. If the vibrations are too much, you may consider getting an aftermarket bar end balancer to eliminate vibration.

          2) use Allen key, loosen the left handlebar and you'll be able to adjust it accordingly. Mine has a allowance of 3 fingers between the bar and tank. (You will have to loosen two screws before adjustment is possible)

          3) I'm living in SG so the roads are fairly clean and not much stones. But you can always DIY your own guard and fasten it to your radiator without compromising the cooling of radiator. Here's a picture

          4) that sound is normal I guess as it's been there since day 1 for my case 😊

          5) can't advise as I'm using after market adjustable levers and have different feedback from different r15. Clutch free play can be adjusted easily by pushing the rubber flap aside and playing around with the adjuster screw.

Oops i forgot to metion that i revved it in 2nd and 3rd gear, so the speed was less than that, also the side carbon fiber panels vibrates at 8-9K RPM. And i "feel" vibrations are more than they are supposed to be. What should i do..

I am a newbie in world of biking, don't even know how allen key looks like, will get it rectified during service.

Is there any DIY available for the same..?? BTW you have got a really cool radiator guard for your bike..

Minimal vibes are normal at 7k Rpm..After all its a 150cc bike. If its more on the footpegs, it means something is wrong with your chain.. Either its not lubricated or slack is more.. R15 really doesnt need a radiator guard.. Done 25k kms on almost all roads.Nothing hits the radiator. Even during rainy season, the mud wont hit the radiator.. The faring below the radiator is designed such that i guess, You can see it bends outward at the bottom of the radiator ( The black faring part). All slush hits only there and wont touch the radiator. So really dont bother about it. Only possible way to damage is pressurized water during service..

For vibration part it is chain for sure as it is not lubed and I don't know how exactly to measure the chain slack or to correct it, but i guess it is there beyond normal. Also chain is touching some part, please tell me if it is normal, i am attaching picture for your reference.

Yes it will touch... Its called chain slider. Refer your manual on how to check slack and lube it.

                    Your chain looks severely dry.

Please lube it with EO or chain lube.

Got the tappets adjusted about 6k kms ago from svc but they did a poor job. Redone it from another svc and they said everything is okay.

drained engine oil some days ago(Motul 7100) which was only 3k kms old and the drained oil quantity was about 800ml.
air box was having excess oil in it, the pipe connected to it also had few drops of oil.
So I thought the valve guides are leaking oil and thats why the drop in oil level but today, after waeming up, revvd the engine slowly to redline and there was light amount of smoke coming through the exhaust.
If the valves are leaking oil, will there be smoke? Or is it my block thats busted?

Btw bike is only 18k kms old, first oil change was @500kms athen again @1000kms did first service from svc. Always replaced oil at 3k kms.

i think it's a drained out battery but I never left my bike n used to ride it everyday so how on earth did the battery got drained out?

Made a mess out of my first DIY (Chain Lube), had to lube it literally with my hands because of not having lube bottle nozzle, and absence of main stand made me took ages..

What color?? Btw if valves are leaking oil, You'll see white smoke only when you start the bike after a gap.. Like if you start thee bike in the morning after you parked it at night.
It will disappear after some time. if you get white smoke after revving, then the piston rings have bust. White smoke = Oil burning.. So tell what color..

Looks like short circuit to me... Or the Charging coil gone katput. Have you done any changes to electricals like lights?? I would advice disconnecting the battery right now and take it to SVC.. Ask them to check voltage at battery terminals( After fitting ) when you rev the bike to make sure charging coils are working..
