The thing is, when kill switch is ON, and you put the key in ON position it primes the fuel pump for the first time generating required pressure in the pressure lines and injectors. You can even hear it.
If kill switch is in OFF position, there will be no fuel pump priming, then you set it ON and as you start the engine while cranking try listening to fuel pump, it will prime as you crank. This was supposed to be done earlier when you put the key in ON position not when you push starter button.
You can ever hear it priming when bike is engaged in gear but kill switch is ON.

    • R15 V2 Front tyre

      Guys, one question.

Its time for me to change the front tyre of my v2 .. its been 23.5k and i changed my rear tyre to stock MRF Revz S.
But for front tyre, i would like some other options.

I saw this Pirelli sports demon 100/80 R17 for front

Is this a good option for my R15 V2 front tyre?

      Thanks!

Yes it will drain the battery and it is not recommended to crank the engine with lights on. If the battery is 1-2 years old, it wont have any bad effect cause the battery easily recharges itself. But if the battery is more than 2 years old and it will take much more time to recharge and you may be left stranded in the middle of a journey with a dry old battery. so it is better to make it a habit to switch off all the lights before cranking the engine.

        It looks awesome brother.
Is it sticky?? how long are you gonna let it dry??
please post updates after a weeks usage...
I finished the painting stuff by 6 PM yesterday and I left it to dry out overnight. It seems to have dried when I checked it in the morning. I took it for a spin through normal(dusty)[emoji28] roads here and it seems to be holding good. Sure I'll post again in a week and let's see what happens. Total expense = Rs.30 (Acrylic Paint for 20 & a size 4 brush for 10).

          !

AFAIK the v2 front rims are 2.2 inch, give or take, so this tyre would definitely fit, because I have 90/80-17 FY1 on v1 of 1.6 inch rims.
Grip wise I would have got pirelli if I could for my front but my rim is too small.

Sport demons are known for good grip.
Not sure much about the puncture on our roads or how many km it would last. But it probably would be softer compound, so won't last too long if that is what you are expecting.Plus your front height would be increased a bit (90x0.8=72, 100x0.8=80 so that is 8mm, it might seem small but my rear seems lifted with 12mm increment, in photos ).
This should give you rough idea.

I bet nobody would recommended upsizing from stock specs though you can change it to any other good tyre of the size. In my opinion, The front Zapper FY1 is the stickiest zapper available but you could change the rear to any better Pirelli Sport Demon or Michelin Pilot Street Radial( Avalaible in 130/70) The stock Revz is good already thouhh. I wouldn't recommend upsizing but anyway let's hear other member's opinions too.

so I want all of your best opinion about whether sticking to stock is the best idea or not? ..
Ofcourse i love the stock tyres on my v2 but just thought if there would be any other better option..
hmm But if sticking to stock is a better option then i would prefer that

For front, just stick to stock.... You can try psd's on rear but our stock tyres are made just for R15 v2. IMO stick to stock on both ends [emoji4]

Honest rider opinion, I would say stick to stock.
                    why?
1)Lets take it you buy a pirelli, its gonna cost you bomb.
In that much money you might as well get two v2 front tyre. I scrape knee and am using FY1 from ,like 400kms for now. I used FY before that and this one is definitely better.
I say stick to stock, you can get 2 stock tyres probably at the price of one pirelli which won't even last that long.
This saves money and unless you are going to race track, the zapper FY1 grip would be enough mate.

2)There will be handling changes with 100/80 obviously, quick flicks at 80+ speeds with 90/80 are very sluggish on my v1 designed for 80/90.

You need to make alterations to the LED circuit. Its easy, you just need to know what to do. A tutorial was up here someowhere, just cant find it now.

I finally changed my tire after 30,000 kms on odometer
It was a over kill for sure
The old tire had developed many cracks

But the stock tire functioned nicely till the end
