Ok having ridden 23.5k, I have enjoyed every single km on my v2! But now i feel i want to extract maybe a bit of more power out of it!
I have seen all of them saying that keep it stock. Agreed, since we cant do much mods anyway! Although are there any performance mods to consider?

I have heard, Joel has a custom ecu which after which you can install a K&N and get its benefit. Has someone tried this?
    Or maybe a aftermarket exhaust?

I just got my front tyre also changed.. It was omg difference! Before this the ride quality was not good it was bumping around often and also at around 80-85 handle bar was shaking a lot!
But now after tyre change it has so much of grip and all the shaking has gone and ride quality is back to original(which is awesome ) which i missed badly!

            Guys,

A while ago I had posted a query regarding Billet aluminum levers. I asked at the service center at Thane. They clearly said they do not stock them, nor do they supply.

This led to an exhausting online search. My concern is, buying online and later realizing they aren't compatible with R15.

Has anyone ordered Billet aluminum levers online along with brake reservoir cap. Any guidance/links would be helpful.

Also, any place in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai or Thane I can source the ones that Yamaha sold as accessories?

Hello mates.. I have successfully completed 2000 kms today .
I went on a long ride today... i happened to go to the beach today.. i did something crazy and took her to the shore
she was drenched one sudden high wave washed us apart. and the bike was full of mud all over the place including the engine. I immediately came back and washer her thoroughly.. also i felt braking power was reduced marginally. i used a hose and pressurized some water into both the pads.. the front pad is absolutely fine but the rear pad has started to screech. i guess its dirty with the sand particles still stuck inside. any suggestions on whether a diy is available or to consult the SVC?

I would also like to share my views about the bike so far..
              - excellent handling and stability. i have hit the ton mark on quite some stretches and it was absolutely stable and no vibrations whatsoever.
              - the gerabox is like buttery smooth. no exaggeration. it really is. except for the first two gears.
              - the brakes never fail you at any speeds whatsoever. It offers good feel and response even under hard braking. no wheel locks. the tyres stick to the tarmac
-decent fe when revved hard too . returned around 36.456 when she was kept at 6k and above most of the time. (reserve-reserve method)
-a metallic ringing sound exactly at the 5k rpm point both while accelerating and decelerating in 1,2,3,4 gears. 5 and 6 the wind noise was too high every time i tried.
              - the rvm's are hopeless. keep getting loose every single week.
              - i cant comment on the smoothness of the engine. i feel my engine is yet to settle in. I have just started to rev her a bit now and then.
Overall a nice experience so far... and is there a possibility of installing a angel eye on the stock headlamps without projectors?

Wow , you are one adventurous dude

Anyways no harm done, just get your bike diesel washed thoroughly from outside (not from the SVC) pay the washing guy extra bucks and make sure he does a thorough job.

Salt is not good for metal leads to rusting.

Your bike will smoother out eventually, don't worry.
R15 has a one hell of a smooth engine.

It is very much possible to put a projector, but your headlight needs to be opened up by melting the glue
So be careful who does the job of installing the projector

As for the light throw projector + hid will definitely make a difference.

Hi, is anyone using Shell Advance AX7? I am thinking of trying it. My R15 has clocked 18000km (in 8 months :P)
But as far as I know, AX7 is available in only 10w40 viscosity grade. Is anyone here using the same with R15 v2? How is the result?

Why not the 300v? Any specific reason for shell?

Try motul 300V or 7100, they are FS. There are many good reviews on these mate, R15 loves it.
