Nissin pads always cost a bomb.... But they lost really really long for my braking habit Front usually lasts 12k kms and rear lasts 8-10k kms.. So i guess its worth the price but still it hurts when you change the pads

Just a correction for ninja 250 brake pads. They're for 1600₹ front and more or less for rear as well. Hopefully the R15s pads are as good as they are priced. Genuine Nissin pads are always a safe bet, no doubt.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

The SVC mechanic after riding the bike told me that the fork needs to be changed or the oil needs to be replaced. They said that it will take 2-3 days for getting it fixed.
        Happy to help brother,
Do update when the fork problem is fixed.
        Ride safe.

Update : Replaced the Brake Pads and the worn out pads gave me a heart attack![emoji33] Will be extra careful hereafter. Presently, It feels like there is no break on the rear since the stopping power is very minimum. A few hundred kilometers would get it to set I believe.

Guys I'm hearing constant loud 'tik tik' sound from the engine while I'm riding slow in lower gears(3-4th).
What could be the reason ?

Odo is 7k bike is 3 months old.
BTW I warm up the engine before riding at least for 2 mins

Could anything from a whole bunch of possibilities, chain tension, gunked up front sprocket, clutch plates, valve clearance, brakes, loose fairing, flux capacitor etc... Check the easy things first, especially chain and sprocket.

Guys how much does the side fairing of the v2 cost? Any single seat cowl available for a reasonable price?

i would suspect that to be the valve clearance, please have it checked at next service though.

in case it has to be re-adjusted, make sure the svc guys use the correct gauge size for both inlet and exhaust and confirm to the specs mentioned is service manual.

Regarding vibration some amount of vibration will be there in all bikes.. Don't worry about it as long as it is not vibrating too much..
Showed the bike to the SVC. They cleaned and lubed the chain , the problem still persisted. Then it struck me that i had removed the sari guard alone and put custom screws. The SVC people were kind enough and put two new washers and tightened everything. I tested the bike right after and it seemed as though the sound had vanished, it rained heavily today and it is quite windy.

Has anyone tried undergearing the r15 v2? after riding a duke 200 the r15 seems way too low in the acceleration department. Any prior experiences with the sprocket change for anyone?thanks in advance

Not from experience, from technical knowledge if you increase the number of teeth in the driven sprocket or decrease the number of teeth in the driving sprocket OR BOTH.There would be considerable difference in acceleration but with loss in top speed. There is a thread EXCLUSIVE for this check it out.If you plan on changing the sprocket the whole gear ratio is changed so you might want to learn how to do quick shift on current sprocket before changing.

What will be the effect of under-gearing on mileage.
not a hard racer, but love to drive.

My r15 v1 came with mrf vyde 120/80 on rear unlike 100/80 stock when I got it in second hand.
Naturally I suffered low acceleration and high top speeds, theoretically.
I use rtr's 13T front to compensate the same. It is slightly biased towards acceleration but I am happy with this setup.

current ratio of your v2 is 15/47, try r15 v1 front sprocket 14. Try searching and punching in values in gear commander first, this will give you rough idea of what and how your gearing over rev band will change.
How much do you want to undergear? Go to the sprockets thread, I have mentioned the setups there.

And by the way I use three setups, 13(rtr160), 14(v1), 15(v2) front. For acceleration, moderate top end and high top end respectively.Ofcourse there are changes in all other figures but this is how I classify.
