Hahaha actually I have already had that wonderful experience that's why I'm opting not to leave my bike there. I want to know whether they'll do any tuning in the ecu when in leave my bike for the first service? As the local mechanic I go to has no idea tuning ecu and stuff.

Nothing is done for the first 3 services, they just wash the bike, change the engine oil and oil filter, polish it and give it back to you.

After 3rd service (ie 4,5 and 6 free service), they do the above mentioned checks, along with chain slack check and adjustment, mirror tightening and any other problem that the owner might have listed.

Even if you get it serviced by a local mechanic, there is nothing much to service in a new bike, and you lose the warranty as well. So its better to get these minor things (free services) done in authorized service centers, just to have warranty. The cost is not that high as service centers charge only for consumables (engine oil, oil filter etc). After the 6 free services are over (these services are distributed over 1 year), do what you want, where you want, how you want.

Your call brother. All the best.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Thanks for the info brother. I'm not worried about the costs but I'm worried about the pathetic service they offer. If someone can tell me where they give a good service in bangalore I would be very happy to leave my bike

You dont have to leave the bike brother, reach the service center sharp at 9 to make sure that yours is the first bike to get the job card. Then sit in the customer lounge and watch tv. Get the bike back in 2 hours (11.30 at most). I do the same thing. I choose a Saturday, cos office is off but service center is open. I have my last service on 2nd week of march and the previous services had been OK, not too good not too bad. Hope this helps.

As for the best service center in Bangalore, I'm sure brothers from the city can give more info.

Hello guys. Over 4500 kms completed..
Had my first fall when a tvs50 moron decided to take a right turn without any indications. LHS handle bar was bent , i repaired it myself at home. Spent just 30 bucks for removing the bend. But my main worry is i had another unexpected fall this morning. I was riding at around 40kmph behind a pulsar 200 ns on a rather wet road. He braked suddenly to avoid a pothole and i also squeezed the front brake only to fall to my right. My brakes did feel spongy for quite sometime and lacked that trademark initial bite. I just cleaned the pads and put it back on , the braking has improved a bit . But the rotor heats like crazy. I want to know if anything might have gone wrong. The pads have a lot of life left in them.. Any leads would be very helpful and also some inputs on improving panic and wet braking.
                            thanks in advance.
