  • Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0

I managed to crash my bike. Got it back just yesterday (after 1.5month!) needed to replace front headlamp fiber, side cowl (L), rear tail section piece (L), side stand and gear lever. Cost me almost 6K, all of that (including 500+12.5% labor charge). Oh btw, I realised that if the bike crashes, the Gear lever always bends (This is my 2nd gear lever replacement). Wondering if its a design/safety flaw.

the same for me .. I drive hills a lot ..while cornering it touches the road easily .. nd I have replaced gear pedal nd break pedal twice .. it easily bends and breaks ..

i really wish the display panel also showed which gear the bike was..not so necessary of course, but would have been very convenient at times for certain purposes...also less importantly a clock with maybe a timer.

took a test ride today, now m thinking if its worth 1.26l. should i go for it or not. really confused. :?

i also didnt expect grey colour, and they also said there is some problem with white paint in red-white model, is it true?

You should also quote reasons why you think its not worth the money. Nobody here has sixth sense I guess. What you got for a test ride will ofcourse be a bike thats nearly 3 years old. Grab one form a friend and ride it.

Gear lever would bend in most bikes and it to some extent saves the handlebars ends from hitting the ground in full force.
Regarding the footpegs scraping, your cornering technique is faulty. You don't shift weight enough.

I actually corner more .. that too in hairpin bends the roads actually are inclined steeply .. so in high speeds when I bend a lot the pedals hit the road nd bend .. but in plains they are supr good no probs at all ..

I dont think any bike is made to be cornered on a inclined road. Wrong roads . Not the bikes fault.

OT : Instead of your pedal touching , it should be the knee touching the tarmac.

Although we are going off topic but still want to add something.

While leaning, the toe should be on the pedal instead of the heel. So before pedal being scrapped , it should be your toe that would scrap

Can anyone tell me where to check my bike's coolant level and how to top it up?
